School of Graduate Studies

School of Graduate Studies, formerly known as the Faculty of Postgraduate of Dai Nam University, was established on May 11, 2013 in accordance with Decision No. 138/QD-DN by the Chairman of the Board of Directors.

I. Development

After nearly 10 years of establishment and development, School of Graduate Studies of Dai Nam University has reached important milestones:

- May 2013: Establishment of the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies, Dai Nam University according to Decision No. 138/QD-DN dated May 11, 2013 by the Chairman of the Board of Directors.

- October 2013: Admission and training for the Master’s degree in Finance - Banking, according to Decision No. 4446/QD-BGDDT dated October 4, 2013 of the Minister of Education and Training.

- November 2014: Admission and training for the Master’s degree in Accounting, according to Decision No. 5372/QD-BGDDT dated 14/11/2014 of the Minister of Education and Training.

- September 2015: Admission and training for the Master’s degree in Economic Management, according to Decision No. 3777/QD-BGDDT dated September 23, 2015 of the Minister of Education and Training.

- February 2016: Renamed into School of Graduate Studies according to Decision No. 75/QD-DN dated February 25, 2016 by the Chairman of the Board of Directors.

- November 2016: Emulation flag of the Ministry of Education and Training according to Decision No. 5151/QD-BGDĐT dated November 16, 2016 of the Minister of Education and Training for Dai Nam University.

- 2016: Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training for successfully completing the tasks of the 2015-2016 school year.

- October 2017: Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister according to Decision No. 1514/QD-TTg dated October 10, 2017 of the Prime Minister for Dai Nam University.

- August 2020: Admission and training for the Master’s degree in Economic Law, according to Decision No. 5372/QD-BGDDT dated November 14, 2014 of the Minister of Education and Training.

Up to August 2020, the School has trained nearly 1400 students in the fields of Finance - Banking, Economic Management, and Accounting, and has started enrolling students for Economic Law. Nearly 1000 students have graduated and received degrees. Most of the School's graduates are working in banks, state administrative units (taxes, customs, etc.) and enterprises. After studying and graduating from the training programs, all trainees evaluated the training program and the Master's thesis as practical, relevant to their current jobs, and helpful in solving practical problems that arose at work.

II. Functions & Tasks

School of Graduate Studies has the following functions and tasks:

- Consulting the Governing Board on the development strategy of Postgraduate training.

- Implementing simultaneous solutions to ensure the sustainable development of Postgraduate training activities of the University.

- Organizing student admissions; Organizing and managing Postgraduate training activities in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, internal regulations on Postgraduate training of the University.

- Promoting scientific research and implement activities according to the general plan of the University.

III. Organizational structure

The Education and Research Council, as well as the School’s leaders and lecturers are leading scientists and experts with extensive experience in teaching and scientific research in related disciplines, to effectively assist students’ learning process.

The School staff have been the core members of the University since its very first days, accumulating years of experience in organizing and managing training programs. With an enthusiastic and professional working attitude, they are always ready to support students and provide them with the best learning environment.
