Office of Student Affairs

I. Functions

The Office of Student Affairs is the grassroots administrative management unit of Dai Nam University, with the function of consulting and assisting the Rector on student management and implementation of assigned tasks.

II. Tasks

  • Coordinating with departments and faculties of Dai Nam University in student admissions. Introducing temporary class leaders. Managing students on the University’s student profile database.
  • Hosting “Citizens - Students Week” at the beginning of each school year, and at the end of the course.
  • Coordinating with departments and faculties of Dai Nam University for the opening of the new school year, the closing ceremony, and the graduation ceremony for regular students. 
  • Implementing political, ideological, ethical and lifestyle education for students; Reporting students’ status to the Governing Board.
  • Coordinating with faculties to monitor and assess students’ learning discipline; Classifying students at the end of each semester, academic year, and course.
  • Organizing emulation movements for students; Proposing rewards for students with achievements in learning and movement activities, and imposing disciplines on students violating regulations.
  • Organizing periodic discussions between the University and students; Coordinating with related units to organize extracurricular activities for students. Coordinating with related units to organize career counseling and conduct surveys to keep track of graduates’ employment status after graduation. A liaison with the contact board of the alumni committee, and organize alumni meetings.
  • Being the focal unit for implementing the University's one-stop model, receiving and resolving all information on administrative procedures for regular students of Dai Nam University.
  • Being a standing committee member of Councils in: rewarding and disciplining students, assessing students’ training results, etc.
  • Developing plans to ensure political security, order, and safety for students; Promptly resolving student-related incidents; Coordinating with related units to manage students residing outside the campus as regulations.
  • Effectively managing and using assigned labor and assets in accordance with current laws and University regulations.
  • Performing other tasks assigned by the Rector of Dai Nam University.
