Why did Dai Nam University collaborate with Soha.vn to organize the seminar "Creating Happy Universities in Vietnam: From Vision to Action"?
A university is not just a place to impart knowledge. It is also where young people go through the most important years of their lives to shape their character, professional skills, life skills, and belief in the future.
Therefore, when it comes to "happy universities," Dai Nam University doesn't understand it as a lax environment filled only with superficial pleasures or activities. Happiness in higher education must be a well-founded happiness: students must be respected, listened to, rigorously trained, and given the opportunity to develop genuine and solid abilities to enter life.
That is why Dai Nam University, in collaboration with Soha.vn, organized the seminar "Creating Happy Universities in Vietnam: From Vision to Action".
The workshop brought together many reputable experts, education managers, and business leaders:
• Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dai Nam University
• Dr. Le Mai Lan - Vice President of Vingroup, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of VinUni University
• Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Nam - Vice Rector of the University of Education, Vietnam National University, Hanoi
• Prof. Rick Bennett – Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President of the British University Vietnam (BUV)
…along with many education experts, scientists, and businesspeople.

The workshop was not intended to offer eloquent slogans, but rather to open a substantive dialogue about higher education today:
How can students learn in a humane environment that is not lenient?
How can teachers be happy in their profession?
How can schools foster a sense of belonging while maintaining high educational standards?
And finally, how can we ensure that students' happiness doesn't stop at just a few years of college, but continues to be demonstrated through their professional competence, employment, and ability to contribute to society?
At Dai Nam University, "happiness" is inseparable from the philosophy of "Real Competence - Solid Life." A student can only achieve lasting happiness when they see themselves progressing every day, are supported by their teachers, gain practical experience, develop discipline, receive feedback on their mistakes, and are seriously prepared for the future.
Collaborating with Soha.vn to organize the seminar also reflects the desire to take the story of "happy universities" beyond the confines of a single institution, making it an open forum for educational administrators, experts, businesses, lecturers, students, and society to discuss.
Creating happiness in universities is not solely the responsibility of the administration or faculty. It's a shared responsibility of the entire educational ecosystem: from the university, family, and businesses to the media and the community.
The workshop is therefore a starting point. A starting point for more frank exchanges, more concrete actions, and stronger commitments in building a university environment where students are loved, challenged, grow, and are prepared to live meaningful, fulfilling, and happy lives.
