AI is changing the way we work, recruit, manage, and lead. But as technology advances, understanding people becomes increasingly important. This is the central theme of the International Conference on Organizational Psychology - Industry in the Digital Age (IOPC 2026), co-organized by Dai Nam University and Hanoi University of Science and Technology on October 10, 2026.

Bringing together scientists and experts from Vietnam, Italy, Canada, India, China, and Russia, the conference not only facilitated academic exchanges but also aimed to address practical issues facing businesses and society. In particular, it provided students with an opportunity to access international knowledge, understand changes in the labor market, and prepare themselves for future career prospects.

WHEN TECHNOLOGY CHANGES THE WAY WE WORK

AI can assist businesses in recruitment, employee evaluation, data analysis, and productivity enhancement. But can technology fully assess human capabilities? What should workers do in the face of job loss? How should leaders adapt to manage effectively while still caring for their people?

These were the questions raised at IOPC 2026, with the participation of international experts in the fields of psychology, human resource management, leadership, and organizational behavior.

Professor Enrico Dalla Rosa (Italy) introduced advanced assessment tools for personnel selection. Dr. Bradley A. Corbett (Canada) shared how to apply data to support human resource management decisions.

Associate Professor Pham Manh Ha and Professor Le Thi Minh Loan (Vietnam) shared their perspectives on human development, the risk of job loss due to technology, and worker welfare.

The common ground among these studies is a very practical issue: how can technology be used to improve work efficiency without neglecting people?

LEADERSHIP IN THE DIGITAL AGE: UNDERSTANDING PEOPLE TO DEVELOP THE ORGANIZATION

Beyond just discussing AI, the workshop also addressed work motivation, mental health, leadership skills, and performance in various professional environments.

Experts from India, China, and Russia will share research on organizational behavior, the relationship between leaders and employees, psychological pressures in education, women's employment, and the application of technology in sports psychology coaching.

From businesses and schools to the sports field, each study offers a unique perspective, but all aim for a common goal: helping people work more efficiently, adapt better, and enjoy a better quality of life in the digital age.

BRINGING INTERNATIONAL KNOWLEDGE CLOSER TO STUDENTS AND BUSINESSES

A scientific conference is significant not only for the publication of research findings, but also for its ability to put knowledge into practice.

For businesses, IOPC 2026 opens up opportunities to access research on recruitment, human resource management, team development, and mental health care for employees.

For faculty and scientists, this is a forum for academic exchange, research networking, and expanding international cooperation.

For students, the practical value lies in the opportunity to see how their future careers are changing. The issues discussed at the workshop are precisely the challenges they will face when entering the job market: competing with AI, working with technology, managing pressure, and developing skills that machines cannot easily replace.

The fact that the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, Dai Nam University, is leading the professional workshop is also aligned with the training orientation of Industrial and Organizational Psychology, bringing students closer to scientific research and professional practice.

Technology may change jobs, but people remain at the center of all development. That is also the message that IOPC 2026 aims to spread.
