CafeF - When student experiences are linked to the message of developing competencies.
The 360-degree stage, the lineup of beloved artists, and thousands of students dancing along created the appeal of the 2026 Freshman Welcome Concert at Dai Nam University (DNU).
With the theme "Blooming Dai Nam - Awakening Potential, Stepping Towards the Future," the event also conveyed a message about the journey of self-development, practical experience, and preparing the K20 generation for the future.
A colorful night of K20
On the evening of October 22nd, the Central Square of Dai Nam University (DNU) became the gathering point for thousands of students at the 2026 Freshman Welcome Concert.
The 360-degree stage, along with the sound and lighting system, created a vibrant performance space. The appearances of Emcee L, Dangrangto, Quân AP, DJ Sao Bomb, and MC Hype Minami brought a diverse range of musical styles, attracting enthusiastic responses from the audience.
Besides guest artists, DNU CREW, the winner of Let's Dance, along with faculty, staff, and students from Dai Nam University, participated in various performances. The parade welcoming the new K20 cohort, with the participation of various training departments, functional offices, international students, the University Council, and the Board of Directors, also created an image of a diverse and close-knit community.
More than just a welcoming event for new students, the program also provides an opportunity for different generations within the school to interact, share experiences, and start the new academic year together.
"Blooming brightly" from experience to ability
The core message of the "Brightening the Dai Nam" theme lies in the idea that each student has their own strengths and unique path of development. Not everyone needs to shine in the same way; what's important is having the opportunity to explore their abilities, challenge themselves, and gradually affirm their self-worth.

At the Grand Music Festival, Dr. Le Dac Son, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dai Nam University, sent a message to the new students of the K20 cohort: "Don't be afraid of failure, don't be afraid to start, and don't try to be a copy of anyone else. Be the best version of yourself!"
That message aligns with the educational philosophy that the school pursues: to help students not only accumulate knowledge but also develop skills, adaptability, and the ability to apply that knowledge in practice.
In addition to the academic program, nearly 40 clubs in professional, cultural, artistic, and sporting fields provide students with opportunities to test their abilities, hone their skills, and connect with the community. These extracurricular experiences help students discover their interests, develop their strengths, and better prepare them for their journey into adulthood.
From the lecture hall to the professional journey
The message "Blooming Dai Nam" is placed within the guiding principle of "Open classrooms - Partnering businesses - Accelerating technology". Accordingly, the learning process aims to connect specialized knowledge, practical experience, and the demands of the professional environment.
The Outcome-Based Education (OBE) approach focuses on the knowledge, skills, and competencies students need to acquire after completing their program. When combined with opportunities to engage with businesses and apply technology, this approach aims to help students become more proactive in their learning, training, and preparation for future careers.
The school stated that 100% of students are connected with jobs before graduation. This is one of the measures to support students in accessing career opportunities, understanding recruitment requirements, and preparing for the transition from the classroom to the workplace.
In line with the philosophy "Real Competence - A Solid Life," this orientation emphasizes the role of genuine competence in the development of students. Learning should not only stop at acquiring knowledge but also be demonstrated through the ability to apply it, solve problems, and adapt to new demands.

The K20 journey begins.
A significant highlight of the music festival was the torch relay and flame-passing ceremony, symbolizing the continuity between generations of students and the trust the university places in the K20 cohort.
The ceremony also hints at the journey ahead for new students: from their first experiences to their studies, training, and gradually defining their own path. At Dai Nam University, the spirit of "Dedicated to the Learner" is placed in the responsibility of creating an environment where students can develop their abilities and grow.
