Studying Information Technology, Logistics, Communications, or E-commerce – why is Chinese necessary? The answer lies in the increasingly abundant career opportunities available to young people who are both professionally competent and possess strong foreign language skills .

Recognizing this trend, Dai Nam University is implementing short-term Chinese language training courses through the Institute of Chinese Language and Cooperation with China, helping students proactively acquire an additional skill during their university studies.

The short-term Chinese language course of the Institute of Chinese Language and Cooperation (Dai Nam University) commenced last October with students from various majors such as Logistics, Communication, E-commerce, etc.

Expertise is the foundation, foreign language skills are an advantage.

According to a JobOKO report, in 2025 there were 12,997 job postings requiring Chinese language skills, a 49.29% increase compared to the previous year. This number shows that the demand for personnel with Chinese language proficiency is growing. Especially in internationally connected industries such as Information Technology, Logistics, E-commerce, Tourism, and Media, foreign language skills can become an advantage when applying for jobs and developing careers.

Therefore, learning Chinese is no longer an option exclusive to language students. At Dai Nam University, students from various majors participate in short-term Chinese language courses with a common goal: to gain additional skills to broaden their future career options.

One class, many specializations, one common goal.

The interesting aspect of the course is that students pursuing different careers come together in a Chinese language class. From the very first session, they are introduced to pronunciation, Chinese characters, and aspects of Chinese culture. Activities such as writing Chinese names and explaining the meaning of each name create a sense of camaraderie and excitement for the learners.

Nguyen Kieu Anh, a student majoring in Communications, shared: “I'm learning Chinese to expand my job opportunities and gain more experience in an international environment. Learning directly with Professor Chu Quang Thang, I feel very excited and look forward to the next sessions . He is dedicated and enthusiastic, helping me overcome my fear of starting a new language.”

Learn from experienced teachers.

One of the program's highlights is the support of a team of highly qualified and experienced instructors. This includes Mr. Chu Quang Thang , Director of the Institute of Chinese Language and Cooperation, who has over 50 years of experience teaching and training in the Chinese language.

He was directly involved in compiling Chinese language textbooks for grades 8-9-11-12 and was a member of the translation team for the New HSK 3.0 textbook - the latest HSK textbook currently available.

For beginners, structured instruction is especially important. It's not just about learning vocabulary or grammar; students are trained in pronunciation, self-study methods, and gradually develop their language skills. 614A7644.jpg

Enhance the learning experience with technology and AI.

In addition to direct teaching methods, the course emphasizes the application of technology to increase classroom interaction. Touchscreen displays support students in practicing Chinese character writing, visual observation, and more active participation in the lesson.

In its next phase of development, the Institute aims to expand the foreign language learning experience through AI technology, including the idea of facilitating student interaction with native-speaking teachers via digital technology. This development direction aims to supplement opportunities for practicing and engaging with the language in real-life communication situations.

Access the latest curriculum - New HSK 3.0, focusing on practical application.

The course is structured according to the New HSK 3.0 framework, aiming to develop a systematic foundation in Chinese, from basic knowledge to preparation for the HSK Level 3 exam.

Besides learning vocabulary and language structures, the program focuses on developing listening and speaking skills and the ability to use Chinese in real-life situations. After the course, students are supported in registering for the HSK exam according to their needs.

Learning another language opens more doors.

At Dai Nam University, learning a foreign language is not just about obtaining a certificate, but also about providing students with opportunities to study, experience, and work in an international environment .

Students with proficiency in Chinese will have better access to exchange programs, scholarships, and internships at universities and businesses that are partners of Dai Nam University in China. A prime example is Harbin Normal University, where hundreds of Dai Nam students have participated in international study and exchange programs lasting up to 10 months.

The school is not only concerned with what students learn, but more importantly, what skills they acquire when entering the job market. And a new foreign language is one of those practical skills.
