The Dean is also a business leader: A unique advantage for DNU students.
In many universities, students learn from lecturers in the classroom and only begin to familiarize themselves with the business world after graduation. However, at Dai Nam University (DNU), many students learn from people who are currently running businesses, operating factories, managing projects, and directly recruiting personnel every day. This is one of the unique advantages that allows DNU students to access a real-world professional environment very early on, shortening the gap between education and employment.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Anh Tuan - Head of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology, Dai Nam University, and Deputy General Director of Asia Industrial Technology Joint Stock Company (ACIT).
Recently, nearly 50 students from the K18 cohort of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology program at Dai Nam University had a meeting and orientation session before beginning their internship at Asia Industrial Technology Corporation (ACIT).
What's special is that the person directly meeting with, assigning tasks to, and sharing with the students is not only the Head of Department but also the leader of the company where they will be doing their internship.

Associate Professor Dr. Do Anh Tuan is currently the Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology at Dai Nam University, and also holds the position of Deputy General Director of Asia Industrial Technology Joint Stock Company (ACIT) - one of Vietnam's leading enterprises in the field of manufacturing electrical cabinets, automation and industrial energy solutions.
At the meeting, students were not only informed about the internship plan but also heard direct insights into the actual working environment, the job requirements of businesses, the professional demeanor of engineers, the necessary skills to adapt to the modern labor market, and future career development opportunities.
It can be said that this is an advantage that not all students have: learning the trade from people who are already working in the field, hearing lessons from practical production, management, and recruitment instead of just through books or theory.

When schools and businesses collaborate in training.
According to Associate Professor Dr. Do Anh Tuan, the gap between training and the actual needs of businesses is always a matter of concern in higher education.
"Businesses need engineers who can start working immediately. The school wants its students to have good jobs after graduation. To achieve that, the training program must be linked to practice, instructors must understand what businesses need, and students must experience the professional environment early on," the professor shared.

Students majoring in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology at Dai Nam University not only learn theory in the classroom but also regularly practice in the university's laboratory system, working with modern equipment right on campus.
As both an educator and a business leader, he is able to continuously update himself on technological changes and new demands of the labor market, incorporating them into the training process. As a result, students not only learn specialized knowledge but also develop professional skills, work ethics, and a professional work ethic from their time in school.

This is also the direction that Dai Nam University has consistently pursued for many years: deeply involving businesses in the training process so that students learn in a way that is connected to practice, their practical skills are linked to societal needs, and their graduation is linked to job opportunities.
Speaking about this model, the school's leadership emphasized: "Today's universities not only train people with degrees but also train people with the capacity to work, adapt, and develop in a real-world professional environment. Therefore, Dai Nam University always focuses on building a team of lecturers who are experts, managers, and entrepreneurs currently working in practice; and at the same time, expanding cooperation with businesses so that students can access career opportunities from their early years of university."
According to the school's leadership, when businesses participate in the training process, students will better understand the requirements of the labor market, be exposed to new technologies and real-world production processes, and have more opportunities for internships and employment immediately after graduation.
"The workplace is like our home, and the teachers are like family."
For many students majoring in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, learning from individuals who are both lecturers and business leaders provides a significant boost of confidence before entering the workforce.
Nguyen Van A, a K18 student, shared: “What I found particularly special was that the business environment was no longer unfamiliar. Since studying at university, our teachers have shared many real-life stories from factories, projects, and the daily work of businesses. Therefore, when doing my internship, I felt like I was going to a familiar environment, where I still had teachers accompanying and guiding me.”

Many students also believe that the close relationship between schools and businesses helps them better understand their future careers, know what they need to prepare, and feel more confident when entering the job market.
More than just an internship, this meeting clearly demonstrates one of the unique advantages of Dai Nam University students: being trained by people who are both academically knowledgeable and have rich practical experience; and learning in an environment where the gap between the classroom and the business world is increasingly narrowing.
When the instructors are also recruiters, and when the dean is also a business leader, students not only learn to graduate but are also prepared to enter the profession, develop their careers, and succeed in their professions.
This is also one of the values that Dai Nam University is striving to bring to its students on the journey of training high-quality human resources to meet the requirements of the labor market in the new era.
