Another excellent teacher adds depth to medical training at Dai Nam University.

The Faculty of Medicine, Dai Nam University, is pleased to welcome Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Tran - a leading expert in the fields of medical biochemistry, molecular biology, and cell biology - to its team, officially assuming the position of Head of the Department of Basic Medical Sciences from September 1st, 2026.

For medical students, basic medicine is not just a subject to pass in the early years. It forms the foundation for understanding diseases, interpreting laboratory tests, approaching diagnoses, and developing the mindset of a physician.

Therefore, having a good teacher at the foundational stage is very valuable.

Associate Professor, Doctor Pham Van Tran received advanced training at the Military Medical Academy; completed his PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Paris 12 (France), and continued his training in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, and Hematology at the French Military Medical School of Applied Sciences.

Prior to joining DNU, he was a Colonel and Head of the Department of Biochemistry at Military Hospital 103; with over 15 years of experience in training management, he was recognized as an Associate Professor in 2014, with over 100 scientific publications and numerous research projects, textbooks, and specialized books.

But what DNU medical students can expect is not just those numbers.
