PRESS RELEASE - THE 2026 CHARITY CAKE: “DAI NAM VILLAGE, SPRING RETURNS TO THE VIETNAMESE SOUL”

A space showcasing traditional Tet (Lunar New Year) culture in the heart of the university.

In Hanoi, amidst the increasingly fast-paced modern life, where young people have fewer opportunities to fully experience traditional values, Dai Nam University is organizing the program "A Cake of Compassion 2026: Dai Nam Village - Spring Returns to the Vietnamese Soul" as a way to preserve the spirit of Tet, safeguard cultural memories, and nurture spiritual depth for the younger generation.

- Time: From 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Wednesday, February 4, 2026

- Location: Central Square - Dai Nam University (No. 1 Xom Street, Phu Luong Ward, Hanoi)

More than just a performance festival, "Dai Nam Village - Spring Returns to the Vietnamese Soul" is built as a living cultural space where participants can step in, touch, and experience Vietnamese Tet (Lunar New Year) with all their senses.

From the village gate, the vibrant red of couplets, the gentle scent of incense, the laughter of early spring… to familiar activities such as:

- Traditional Vietnamese costume show

- Human chess space, folk games

- Food court during Tet (Lunar New Year)

- Asking for calligraphy at the beginning of the year, making clay figurines, painting statues...

All of this creates a rustic, intimate picture of Tet (Vietnamese New Year) – where memories of the countryside are awakened amidst the modern university setting.

The highlight of the program lies not only in the experiential element but also in the humanistic values preserved over the years. Through the "Bread of Compassion" activity, students, lecturers, and staff of the university share, connect, and spread the spirit of mutual support and compassion – a core value of Vietnamese culture.

With over 15 years of continuous organization, the program has become an annual cultural event with a unique identity for Dai Nam University – where education is not only found in the classroom, but is also nurtured by experiences, emotions, and community bonding.

Through "Dai Nam Village - Springtime in the Vietnamese Soul," the school continues to affirm its student-centered educational orientation, linking training with cultural and humanistic values, while contributing to spreading beautiful images of student life and school culture to the wider community.
