In recent years, beauty pageants among schools have become commonplace. However, the "Beauty of Dai Nam 2026" competition demonstrates a different approach from Dai Nam University (DNU). With the philosophy "education is about illuminating," the competition doesn't guide contestants towards stereotypical standards. Instead, each young person is given a beacon to discover themselves. Along this path, contestants will mature and learn the values of courage, knowledge, and compassion.

Out of hundreds of applications, Hoang Ngoc Huyen, a student from the Faculty of Business Administration and Marketing, was named the winner. Ngoc Huyen's journey was marked by her composure, confident performance style, and disciplined, unwavering spirit throughout the competition rounds.

In the final round of the Q&A segment, Ngoc Huyen chose to emphasize her role and responsibility as an individual within the group. Aware of the "weight" of the title of Miss, she clearly defined what she needed to do – as a representative voice of the younger generation – to contribute to and spread positive values to the community.

The title of First Runner-up went to Do Thanh Thao, a student from the Korean Language and Culture Department, and the Second Runner-up was Do Thi Hong Ngoc, a student from the Nursing Department. Both contestants demonstrated consistent progress and served as inspiration throughout each round of the competition.

Next, the stage was enveloped in a nostalgic atmosphere with the ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress) competition. The meticulously designed traditional costumes highlighted the graceful and subtle beauty of Vietnamese women.

After a tense voting period, the top 12 were revealed, advancing to the evening gown competition. This was an opportunity for the contestants to showcase their poise and stage presence. The two evening gown segments were a harmonious blend of traditional and modern values, combining the preservation of cultural beauty with youthful energy.

However, the real highlight was the Q&A round of the top 6 – the round that best showcased the contestants' confidence and thinking. Miss Luong Thuy Linh, a member of the judging panel, commented: “I have judged many student beauty pageants, but rarely have I seen a program organized as elaborately, systematically, and professionally as this one. Each contestant is telling their own story of growth.”

To create a memorable Grand Finale, behind the scenes, the competition involved a four-month journey of intense training. From over 200 initial applications, the contest selected 40 semi-finalists and 20 finalists – each step required a courageous move out of the comfort zone.

There were countless training sessions that lasted until late at night, mistakes, and corrections… Pressure built up, exhaustion overwhelmed them, and tears were shed. But no one stopped. Everyone chose to keep going, because they were all steadfast in their commitment to self-improvement.

It was this rigorous training process that forged these girls into confident, responsible, and courageous individuals.

Beauty is linked to real-life experiences and community responsibility.

One of the elements that gives depth to Huong Sac Dai Nam 2026 is the connection between the beauty pageant and community responsibility.

Ahead of the Finals, the top 20 contestants embarked on a nearly 400km journey to Xuan Minh Ethnic Boarding School (Ha Giang), bringing 370 meals, hundreds of gifts, and over 4,000 books to build a "Little Sunshine Library".

To obtain this impressive number of books, many contestants had to use their entire break time to go to each school to ask for books. But everyone was satisfied with the meaningful achievement. Now, the "Little Sunshine Library" will illuminate the path to literacy, opening up more opportunities for students in mountainous areas to access knowledge.

This is how the program puts contestants through experiences that enrich their life skills and help them understand the value of compassion. The beauty lies in giving, in the smile of the recipient, and in how acts of kindness are quietly spread.
