Instructions for writing student resumes 2025

In order to support new students and parents in properly implementing the regulations on declaring Personal Records, Dai Nam University would like to share detailed instructions on how to write a personal record for students in 2025. Through this guide, students will know how to correctly and completely fill in the necessary information to complete the admission application according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

How to write a student profile cover letter

1. How to write a student profile 2025

- Full name section: Full name must be printed in CAPITAL LETTERS, with accents, and must be correct on the ID card or family register.

- Date of birth: must include the full date, month, and year of birth in the format DD/MM/YYYY. Eg: 02/06/2001.

- Permanent residence: write according to the address on your household registration. Capitalize the first letters of the place name or proper name. For example: Commune A, District B, Province C.

- Whom to inform? Where?: you can write your parents' names and address.

- Phone number: Enter your phone number or home phone number.

Section 2 - Information about students

The first page records basic information of students.

2. How to write a student resume

- Full name section: Full name must be printed in CAPITAL LETTERS, with accents, and must be correct on the ID card or family register.

- Date of birth: Fill in two numbers.

For example: you were born on March 2, 2004, you fill in: 02 03 04

- Ethnicity: Fill in 1 if you are Kinh, Fill in 0 if you are another ethnicity.

- Religion: Please specify your religion.

For example: Buddhism, Christianity, Islam. If you do not follow any religion, fill in none.

- Origin: If you are a worker, fill in 1, if you are a farmer, fill in 2, if you are in other professions, fill in 3.

- Contestants: Write as on the contest entry form, if you do not belong to any category, leave blank.

- School code: Write the code of the school you are about to enroll in in the 3 blank boxes next to it.

- Registration number: is the registration number on the exam paper of the national high school exam.

- Academic results: based on the results in the transcript.

- Date of joining Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union: Recorded according to the union book and in the correct format dd/mm/yyyy.

- Date of joining the Communist Party of Vietnam: Record according to your Party membership book, if not yet available, leave blank

- Rewards and discipline: Fill in information about rewards, if none, write "no"

- Gender: If male, fill in 0, if female, fill in 1.

- Permanent residence: Write the address as in the family's household registration book.

- Which admission area: Candidates who belong to which area fill in that area, similar to the exam notice: 1; 2; 2NT, 3.

- Major: The major you passed the entrance exam to the school, you need to clearly write the major name and fill in the major code in the boxes next to it.

- Entrance exam scores: Clearly state the total score of the 3 entrance exams and the score of each subject.

- Bonus points: If you have bonus points, fill in, if not, skip.

- Reasons for direct admission and bonus points: If any, please state clearly, if not, please ignore.

- Graduation year: Write the last two digits of the year you graduated from high school.

- Citizen ID number: Fill in your correct CCCD number

- Summary of education, work and labor process: Clearly state the time of primary school, middle school and high school.

3. Page 3&4 - Family composition

- Full name: Parents' full names must be written correctly and in capital letters.

- Nationality: Will be Vietnamese or if you are from another country and studying in Vietnam, write your country's name.

- Ethnicity, Religion: Record according to the citizen identification information of parents and siblings.

- Permanent residence: Record according to household address.

- Economic, political, social activities (what do you do, where do you work?): Record your parents' current jobs.

4. Bottom of Page 5 - Confirmation from local residence

- Full name, occupation, and place of residence of siblings: This section must clearly state information about your siblings such as Name, Occupation, Address of residence, what is your brother/sister doing?...

- Family commitment regarding student's statement: The person completing the application must have signatures of confirmation from family members such as: Father, mother, siblings (in your family register). Sign confirmation on the right.

- Students sign in the right corner: After filling in all the information in the above sections, you should check again. Sign in the right corner of the paper.

5. How to write the recruitment area on the resume

- Region 1 (KV1) includes localities in mountainous, highland, remote and island areas, including communes in areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions according to Government regulations.

- Area 2 - rural (KV2-NT): Localities not in KV1, KV2, KV3.

- Region 2 (KV2): The rest are provincial cities (not centrally run); towns; suburban districts of centrally run cities.

- Region 3 (KV3) includes: Inner city districts of centrally-run cities.

Candidates in Zone 3 are not eligible for regional priority.

6. Student resume form

Above is the most standard way to write a student application for university admission as issued by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Note: Currently, there are 02 types of CVs on the market. New students need to use the Student CV to submit to the school, do not use the CV for job seekers.

8. What does the admission application to Dai Nam University include?

1. Admission notice (original), High school transcript of 3 years of study (notarized photocopies)

2. Certificate of high school graduation exam results in 2025 (original)

3. Temporary graduation certificate (original)

4. High school diploma (notarized photo if graduated before 2025)

5. Birth certificate (notarized photocopy)

6. Citizen identification card (notarized photo)

7. CV (with confirmation stamp of the Commune/Ward People's Committee)

9. Letter of recommendation for military service transfer (for men)
