When arriving in Vietnam, many international medical students of Dai Nam University brought with them many concerns about the new language, culture and learning environment. However, after only a few days of getting acquainted, those concerns were quickly replaced by a series of interesting surprises - starting an emotional learning journey at Dai Nam University.

First Impressions - Thoughtfulness Beyond Expectations
As soon as they arrive in Vietnam, many Indian students cannot hide their worries: a strange country, a different language, will their beliefs and customs change? But those worries disappear as soon as they know they have their own dining room with an Indian chef, and separate dormitories for men and women, ensuring both convenience and preserving the cultural and religious lifestyle of their homeland.

" I was surprised by the school's attention to detail. The teachers and students welcomed us so warmly, making me feel right at home." - Sangati Rufus, student of YKQT class 19-01

From the very first days, International Medical students were warmly welcomed by a team of teachers, staff and volunteer students - the beginning of a friendly and open learning journey.
Conquering English is not enough - learn to love Vietnamese
Initially, many international students thought that being good at English was enough to do well in the medical program at Dai Nam. But when they enrolled, they were unexpectedly given a new journey: learning Vietnamese.
Not only does it make it easier to communicate with friends and lecturers, Vietnamese also becomes the “golden key” to help Indian students understand the culture, integrate into the community and have more convenience when practicing clinical at Vietnamese hospitals. Thanks to that, Dai Nam University is not only a place to train medical knowledge, but also a “second home” where each international student is accompanied, shared and matured.

Indian students are very interested in the Vietnamese language.

International students do not hesitate to connect and get to know Vietnamese students through football and cultural exchange activities.
Indian culture is honored in the heart of Dai Nam
The most special feeling for Indian students is to see their culture honored right at their school in Vietnam. In the K19 Welcome Concert, the image of Diwali Festival of Lights was brilliantly recreated in front of nearly 12,000 spectators. The parade of the International Medical Students brought pride and special emotions as a cross-border greeting from India to Vietnam.

A colorful and multicultural journey of experience
In less than a month of enrolling, International Medical students have been immersed in a series of exciting events: Welcome New Students Concert, Mid-Autumn Festival, Halloween, Let's Dance...

“The extracurricular activities here are some of the best! Every event is creative, fun, and full of cross-cultural bonding.” - Tharanika, YKQT class 19-01.

International medical recruits joined in the "jokes" of Dai Nam students on Halloween night.
Not only as spectators, Indian students also directly performed, paraded, and wore traditional costumes with Vietnamese students, creating colorful stages where friendship, respect, and joy were spread.
From one “surprise” to another, the journey of Indian students at Dai Nam University is a series of warm and humane experiences. They not only study to become good doctors, but also learn to love - understand - open their hearts to the world. Because at Dai Nam, we always respect students and cherish all cultural values so that every student, no matter where they come from, feels like they belong here.
