Start-up – Innovation: Learn to change, live to contribute

With the philosophy of "Learning to change", Dai Nam University considers entrepreneurship and innovation as a comprehensive educational method.

At Dai Nam University, students not only learn theory in the classroom, but also experience, try and fail, try again, learn how to perceive problems, think of solutions and dare to take responsibility for their ideas.

Through the Career & Entrepreneurship Center, DNU builds an open ecosystem, connecting students - lecturers - businesses - mentors - investment funds so that ideas can go from the classroom to life.

SiL – Incubator of ideas for the community

Established in 2023, Social Innovation Launch (SiL) has become a prestigious "social idea incubator", where young people are nurtured with a spirit of commitment to the community.

After three seasons, SiL attracted more than 900 contestants from more than 60 universities, with the support of many leading businesses, investment funds and experts.

From the competition, many projects have come to life such as: Border Dream - bringing classrooms to children in the highlands; Vietnam Carbon Credit - initiating a green economic model; Cadeceus - taking care of students' mental health; Crystella - creative recycled crystals for the environment...

Ms. Jen Vu Huong, Director of BK Holdings incubation program - mentor SiL, commented: “Dai Nam University students have very real aspirations. They do not start a business for the sake of the movement, but because they want to create value for society. That is the most sustainable start for a long journey.”

DBIC – Playground for future digital entrepreneurs

If SiL helps students start businesses with a heart for the community, DBIC - Digital Business Innovation Challenge organized by the Faculty of Economics and Management of Dai Nam University is an "intellectual playground" for the generation of digital entrepreneurs.

Launched in 2024, DBIC quickly attracted hundreds of candidates from more than 25 universities, along with the participation of experts and large technology businesses.

Projects participating in DBIC are associated with AI, digital transformation, green economy, e-commerce, sustainable finance, reflecting the integration mindset and innovative spirit of the Vietnamese student generation.

Through that, Dai Nam University affirms its role as a young, dynamic, and socially connected innovation center.

Mr. Le Dac Lam, Vice Chairman of the Board of Dai Nam University shared: “Starting a business is not just about setting up a business, but also about learning how to think creatively, dare to do, dare to take responsibility and dare to pursue to the end. Each startup and innovation playground at Dai Nam is a special classroom, where young people grow up from practical experiences.”

Through programs like SiL and DBIC, students not only hone their presentation, planning, and fundraising skills, but also learn confidence, perseverance, and a desire to live a useful life.
