In recent days, public opinion across the country has been particularly interested in a serious case that has been prosecuted by the authorities and is still being investigated. Official information shows that this is an act with very serious consequences, creating shock not only because of the level of cruelty, but also because of the abnormalities hidden behind it.

The incident raises many thoughts: cognitive, emotional and value deviations – if not seen and supported early – can accumulate and lead people to dangerous choices whose consequences they do not fully anticipate.

When mental health is neglected, people easily lose their direction.

Many studies show that extreme behavior rarely comes out of nowhere. It often begins with subtle psychological cracks: a disconnect from values, persistent skewed thinking, loneliness, and a lack of emotional support.

There are times when people have a distorted view of life and death, of pain and suffering. There are unhealthy relationships that distort beliefs. There are times when an individual is not clear-headed enough to distinguish right from wrong.

What is more worrying is: when these deviations become familiar, the people involved no longer realize that they are going astray.

The Internet - where deviants meet more easily

In real life, people with cognitive or emotional instability find it difficult to meet each other. But the Internet has changed that.

Virtual spaces create unprecedented closeness between strangers. Anonymity loosens boundaries. Closed groups and extremist content heighten risks.

With just a few clicks, a person can access toxic information, be drawn into dangerous interactions, or find deviant views that make them believe that deviance is “normal.”

In addition, the curiosity to search for harmful documents and videos not only leaves psychological trauma but also puts users at risk of legal, fraud and information insecurity - something that has been strictly warned by authorities.

Education - a shield more important than any measures to deal with the consequences

The law will deal with wrongdoing, but to prevent similar tragedies, family - school - society must go one step ahead.

Family

Listen and observe your children's changes. Don't let them grow up alone or with only the internet as their friend. Create a space for them to share when things are not going well.

School

Not only teaching knowledge, but also teaching how to live safely in the digital age. Equipping students with the ability to identify risks, distinguish harmful content and skills to ask for support when needed. Building a warm school environment where each student feels cared for and understood.

Young people

Curiosity can be a trap. One thing you watch can haunt you for a long time. Courage is not about watching everything, but about avoiding things that might hurt you.

Online community

Behave in a civilized manner, do not contribute to the spread of harmful content. Do not speculate, do not sensationalize, do not fabricate unverified information. Protect yourself and the vulnerable.

Message to us

In the educational environment, every lecturer and staff of DNU plays an important role in protecting the mental safety of students. Recognize abnormal signals in students. Proactively accompany and support them when they need it. Instill in students the right values of life, kindness, and caution. Help them understand that the digital world is both vast and full of temptations, and self-protection skills are indispensable.

In addition, the school has a Mental Health Counseling Center - a place ready to support students to overcome psychological crises. We hope that teachers will spread this information to students so that they know where to go when needed. If teachers notice unusual signs in students, please quietly inform the Center so that we can coordinate timely support.

A timely word, a little care, can sometimes help a student get through a difficult period that they cannot overcome on their own.

Conclusion

The heartbreaking case is more than just a legal story. It is a reminder that human mental health is more fragile than we think, and that the internet can amplify good things but can also easily contribute to the spread of falsehoods.

This is the time for every family, every school and every adult to remind each other of their responsibilities:

Nurture life values, enhance mental resilience and guide young people to stand firm against the pressures of the digital age.

When society gets involved, potential risks are seen sooner – and many tragedies can be prevented before they even begin.
