Nearly 10 years ago, the eldest brother entered Dai Nam University by a somewhat coincidental choice. Subsequently, his two younger sisters followed suit. From K11, K15 to K20, the three siblings from the same family in Nghe An province all chose Dai Nam University, a belief inherited from the experiences of their predecessors.

From K11 to K20, the three siblings Le Van Tu, Le Thi Huong Quynh, and Le Thi Ngoc Hong successively chose the Communication Department.

On the day the K20 freshmen enrolled, Le Anh Tu returned to Dai Nam University. Nearly 10 years ago, he was a K11 freshman majoring in Public Relations. This time, he returned to support his youngest sister, Le Thi Ngoc Hong, as she began her university journey.

Between those two milestones is Le Thi Huong Quynh, the second youngest sister, a K15 student majoring in Public Relations.

Three brothers, three graduating classes separated by nearly a decade, all chose Dai Nam University.

From a "lifeline" to the day I "brought money home to build a house for my mother"

Back then, Tú wanted to study communications but hadn't achieved his goal. Đại Nam, as he used to call it, was like a "lifeline" that allowed him to begin his university journey.

But that somewhat coincidental choice gradually became an important part of the young man's journey to adulthood.

During his university years, Tú had the opportunity to learn and try out many different jobs: content creation, MC, event organizing, editing, filming, etc. Outside of class, he sold goods online and opened a lemonade stand to earn extra income. Each attempt, whether successful or unsuccessful, gave Tú valuable experience and life lessons.

“At school, I was trained to be a multi-talented person: from consulting, content creation, MC, event organizing, editing, filming… All of these have become invaluable assets when entering the profession,” Tú shared.

Associate Professor Ngo Thi Hong Hanh, Deputy Head of the Communication Department, shared insights on the department's training orientation, which focuses on practical application and the professional environment.

After graduating, Tú held various positions such as reporter, editor, content team leader, and MC before starting her own food brand, Ăn An, specializing in Nghệ An specialties.

But what makes him most proud isn't just his work or his own brand. It's the day he can use the fruits of his labor to build a decent house for his parents in his hometown.

"Bringing money home to build a house for my mother" marks a milestone in my life: from a young man who left Nghe An to study to the day he can stand on his own two feet and take care of his family.

And that journey also became the most intimate introduction to Dai Nam for Tu's younger siblings.

When his experience becomes the students' choice.

Following Tú, Lê Thị Hương Quỳnh continued her choice of Đại Nam University, becoming a K15 student majoring in Public Relations.

In 2026, it was the turn of the youngest sister, Le Thi Ngoc Hong, who scored 24.93 points. Hong chose Multimedia Communication based on her personal interests and the experiences shared by her older siblings. She loves communicating and had participated in a media club and hosted programs while in high school.

"I had the opportunity to hear my seniors share their accumulated experiences from their studies and work. I felt fortunate and it motivated me to pursue a career in Communications," Hong shared.

Three brothers from Nghe An province, from three graduating classes (K11, K15, and K20), have together created a unique and continuing story at the Faculty of Communication, Dai Nam University.

Right from her first days at school, Hong had the opportunity to try being an MC and experience hosting in a studio. Initially nervous in front of the lights and cameras, the freshman gradually became more comfortable and confident.

Hong's goal is to become a professional MC. But from her siblings' experiences, she also understands that behind the appeal of the profession lies a requirement for proactiveness, creativity, and the ability to handle pressure.

A time-tested choice

What's remarkable about this story isn't just that the three brothers studied the same field, but that nearly a decade later, the family continues to choose Dai Nam University.

For Tú, recommending the school to younger students isn't just emotional advice. He studied there, entered the job market, worked various jobs, started his own business, and built his own path.

"Just like someone who came before has filled in the potholes on the road, those who come after will have more experience to walk on a smoother path," Tú said.

After graduating, Tú returned to Đại Nam University, meeting with his teachers and mentoring subsequent generations of students. He has sponsored professional competitions such as Speak Up Đại Nam 2024 and The Moments 2025.

Le Thi Ngoc Hong is excited to experience her new learning environment, where she will begin her journey to becoming a media professional.

Dai Nam University pursues an applied training orientation, linking learning with practice and professional experience. The university aims not only for students to complete their studies, but also to help them develop the skills to work, become independent, and gradually build their own lives.

The story of the three brothers from Nghe An province thus suggests a very simple measure of trust in a university: How well do students mature after leaving the lecture halls? And after their own experience, are they willing to recommend that university to their loved ones?

From K11 to K15 and then K20, almost a decade has passed, three brothers, three cohorts of students, all choosing the same name: Dai Nam.

Perhaps one of the most valuable things a university can earn is when a family sends one child there, and years later continues to choose that same institution for their subsequent children.
