Recently, at the Hanoi CDC, the Hanoi Center for Disease Control and Prevention and Dai Nam University held a signing ceremony for a training cooperation agreement, marking a new development in the relationship between the training institution and the medical practice unit.

According to the agreement, the two sides will cooperate in implementing practical training activities, professional guidance, scientific research, and the development of high-quality medical human resources.

Through this cooperation program, students of the Faculty of Medicine at Dai Nam University will have the opportunity to access the practical environment of the field of preventive medicine, enhance their professional capacity and skills, and better understand the role of public health protection in the new context.

From the classroom to preventive medicine practice

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Bui Van Hao, Director of the Hanoi CDC, emphasized the increasingly important role of preventive medicine in the modern healthcare system.

According to Mr. Bui Van Hao, given the emergence of many new and re-emerging diseases and the increasingly complex challenges in the field of public health, the health sector needs a workforce that is not only knowledgeable in its field but also proficient in practical skills, capable of adapting quickly and effectively handling real-world situations.

Mr. Bui Van Hao, Director of the Hanoi CDC, delivered a speech at the event.

The leaders of the Hanoi CDC highly appreciated the training orientation of Dai Nam University, which emphasizes the combination of theory and practice, and considered this an important foundation for forming a high-quality team of doctors and medical staff in the future.

"This is just the beginning. In the future, the two units can expand cooperation in many other areas, especially scientific research and public health," Mr. Bui Van Hao shared.

The Hanoi CDC also committed to providing experienced staff and a favorable practice environment to support Dai Nam University students in their studies and professional development.

To grow and thrive, stand alongside the "giants".

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Le Thi Thanh Huong, Vice Rector of Dai Nam University, said that this year marks the graduation of the university's first cohort of medical students, signifying an important milestone in the development and affirmation of the quality of training at the Faculty of Medicine.

According to Dr. Le Thi Thanh Huong, medical training cannot stop at simply imparting knowledge; it must be closely linked to a practical environment where students can observe, experience, and grow from professional practice.

Dr. Le Thi Thanh Huong - Vice Rector of Dai Nam University, shared her thoughts at the ceremony.

“Today, we have the opportunity to stand alongside a ‘giant’ in the field of preventive medicine. We expect that future generations of students will have the chance to learn, grow, become colleagues, and even leaders in the medical field,” shared Dr. Le Thi Thanh Huong.

According to the school's leadership, the collaboration with the Hanoi CDC not only expands practical opportunities for students but also helps them access real-world issues in public health, thereby fostering a comprehensive professional mindset for a physician.

Gradually perfecting the healthcare training ecosystem.

Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Duc Hanh - Head of the Faculty of Medicine, Dai Nam University, said that the university's medical training program is built in the direction of innovation and integration.

In the first three years, students are trained in fundamental sciences and basic medicine, following a curriculum referenced from leading medical schools. The next phase adopts an integrated training model, enhancing interdisciplinary skills and the ability to apply knowledge to practice.

Alongside curriculum reform, the school has also invested heavily in its training facilities. Currently, the Faculty of Medicine possesses a simulation center and Skill Lab system spanning over 800m², along with modern practice rooms that meet the standards of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Training.

Notably, the Hanoi CDC is the 21st practical training partner in the university's training cooperation network. Previously, Dai Nam University had established cooperative relationships with many large hospitals and medical facilities such as Phu Tho General Hospital, Phu Tho Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, Vinh Phuc General Hospital, and many other central and local medical units.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Duc Hanh, the cooperation between the two units will focus on three key areas: training, scientific research, and human resource development.

Students will participate in practical training in preventive medicine, disease control activities, community health surveillance, and handling public health issues. They will also have the opportunity to participate in scientific conferences, research projects, and in-depth academic activities.

Working together to train high-quality healthcare professionals.

The signing ceremony for the cooperation agreement between the Hanoi CDC and Dai Nam University not only expands learning and practical opportunities for medical students but also lays the foundation for a long-term cooperative relationship between the university and the leading medical unit of the capital city.

The signing ceremony for the cooperation agreement between the Hanoi CDC and Dai Nam University also demonstrates the determination of both institutions to train a team of preventive health care professionals with strong expertise and high medical ethics, meeting the requirements of caring for and protecting people's health in the new context.

This is also the next step in Dai Nam University's strategy to build a practical medical training ecosystem, where students can study in a modern environment, practice at reputable medical facilities, and access real-world issues in the field right from their time in university.

Each cooperation agreement established not only expands career experience opportunities for students but also contributes to preparing a healthcare workforce with professional competence, practical skills, and a sense of community responsibility, meeting the increasingly high demands of the healthcare system in the new era.
