What makes K20 students and their parents place their trust in Dai Nam University?
Some choose a university based on facilities and labs. Others are interested in opportunities for practical experience and early exposure to businesses. Some place their trust in the faculty and the reputation of the training. Others simply want a dynamic environment to make their university years truly memorable. For parents, reassurance sometimes begins with small things: the way a professor guides students, the enthusiasm of the security guard or janitor, or the feeling of actually stepping into the place where their child will be studying for the next few years. The shared experiences on the K20 enrollment day show that behind every decision to choose a university are many expectations. But ultimately, they all converge on one question: What is the purpose of a university education, and what will students gain to enter life after those years?

When choosing a university, the question is often "Why am I studying here?"
During the K20 enrollment period, each new student arrived at Dai Nam University with a different story and different expectations.
Some people have a clear career path in mind early on. Others explore many options before making a decision. But the common thread among new university students is the desire for their time in university to go beyond simply completing their studies; it should also provide them with knowledge, skills, and experiences to prepare them for future careers.

Hoai Thu, a freshman majoring in Business Administration, said that facilities were one of the factors that caught her attention when researching Dai Nam University.
“I wanted to study in an environment with modern facilities, a good learning space, and one that meets the learning needs of students. After researching and visiting the school in person, I found that the environment here matches my expectations,” Thu shared.
For a freshman, specific learning conditions are the most easily observable factor. But for fields of study heavily reliant on technology, facilities are also viewed in terms of their ability to create opportunities for practical experience.

Lab systems, businesses, and the story of learning by doing.
Minh Quân, a freshman in Information Technology, is interested in how classroom knowledge is transformed into skills.
"What I care about is that learning must go hand in hand with practice. The lab system and practical space allow me to expect to be able to directly do, experiment, and reinforce my knowledge instead of just learning theory," Quân said.
Having chosen the technology field, Ngoc Minh, a freshman in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, pays attention to the development trends of the field and opportunities to interact with businesses.

“I chose the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology major at Dai Nam University because it's a field with great potential in the digital age. I'm also interested in getting early exposure to businesses. The opportunity for practical experience from my first year is what really caught my attention,” Minh shared.
These choices highlight a growing concern for students when selecting a university: not only what they will study, but also how they will gain practical experience and have opportunities to engage with the professional environment.
For an application-oriented university, this is also a challenge in the curriculum design process: how can students gradually transform knowledge into practical skills?
Reputation of training is a factor to consider in specialized fields.
For fields like Medicine, Pharmacy, and Nursing, choosing a school is often linked to higher demands regarding training quality, faculty, and practical training environment.
Hai Son, a freshman in the Pharmacy program, said he is interested in the reputation of the training institution and the stability of the profession.
“Pharmacy is a field I've decided to pursue long-term, so I've done quite a bit of research on training institutions. Dai Nam University has nearly 15 years of experience in training, which is one of the factors that gives me and my family more confidence. I also believe that Pharmacy is a necessary field with a demand for human resources in many stages,” Son shared.

Meanwhile, for Gia Phuc, a freshman in the medical program, the faculty and the academic achievements of previous cohorts are the most noteworthy pieces of information.
“I am concerned about the reputation of the training institution and the teaching staff. The fact that the school has graduates who have passed residency training also gives me more confidence in choosing medicine at Dai Nam,” Phuc said.
In fields of study requiring high levels of specialization, information about faculty, learning outcomes, and practical training can serve as a basis for students and their families to consider before making a decision.
Some students choose this university because they want to live their youth to the fullest.
Not all choices are made based solely on professional criteria.
For Minh Tam, a freshman in Human Resource Management, the dynamic university environment and opportunities for experience were also an important part of her decision.

“I want my university years to be not just about learning knowledge, but also about having the opportunity to explore, experience, and develop myself. I want to meet many people, participate in activities, and have memorable experiences in my youth. Dai Nam University attracts me with its dynamic learning environment, an ecosystem of over 30 clubs, and hundreds of exciting experiential activities …,” Tam shared.
For the new generation of students, university life is viewed from a broader perspective than just the classroom. Club activities, skills development, practical experiences, social interaction, and community engagement can all become part of their personal growth.
Parents need a reason to feel reassured.
While students often begin by asking, "What do I want to study?", parents have another question: "Is this environment good enough for my child to grow up in?"
Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, the parent of a new nursing student, said that the school's facilities and the attitude of the staff were what left a strong impression on his family during the enrollment process.

“The modern facilities and friendly, enthusiastic teachers put my mind at ease. What impressed me most was that everyone, from the security guard to the cleaning lady, was friendly and willing to help. These seemingly small things help parents feel the care and attention given to the students,” Mr. Phuc shared.
Meanwhile, Ms. Tran Thi Huong, a parent of a new English Language student, said that her family respects her child's choice but still proactively researches before making a decision.

“My family did quite a bit of research and trusted our child’s choice. When we visited the school in person, I felt more reassured about the facilities, the way the school welcomed and supported students and parents during the enrollment period,” Ms. Huong said.
For parents, firsthand experiences can help answer questions that information on websites or admissions channels cannot easily replace: what kind of learning environment their child will be in, what kind of support they will receive, and how proactively they can develop themselves.

One choice, many expectations.
Based on the feedback from K20 students, there is no single formula for deciding to choose Dai Nam University.
For some, it's the facilities. For others, it's the labs, practical opportunities, or business networking. Some students place their trust in the faculty and the reputation of the training; others seek a dynamic environment to experience their youthful years.
These criteria differ but all point towards one question: after their university years, what will students have as they enter life and their careers?

This is also the perspective set for the school: facilities should not only create a beautiful campus, but also serve learning and practice; businesses should not only be partners in name, but should become a part of the professional experience; and lecturers should not only impart knowledge, but also accompany the process of developing students' competencies.
For K20, the enrollment day marked the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. The expectations that students and parents have brought to Dai Nam University today will need to be met by the students' learning experiences, personal growth, and professional capabilities in the coming years.
Ultimately, the value of a university choice doesn't lie in the initial recommendation, but is proven by what the student actually gains throughout their journey.
The K20 journey has begun - the doors of Dai Nam University are still wide open.
The K20 In-person Enrollment Day at Dai Nam University continues until August 17, 2026. During these days, the university continues to welcome new students and their families to complete procedures, meet with faculties, learn about the learning environment, and prepare for the new academic year.
Meanwhile, for candidates who have not yet finalized their university choices, Dai Nam University (school code DDN) continues to accept supplementary applications for the first round of admissions in 2026 for 56 training programs, with admission scores ranging from 15 to 23 points. From August 18th, successful candidates can complete the enrollment procedures at the lobby of the Central Building.

This is an opportunity for candidates to continue choosing a field of study that suits their abilities, interests, and career aspirations.
At this point, the question isn't just "which majors still have vacancies?", but more importantly: Which major suits me best? What will I learn and practice in? Will this environment help me develop my strengths? And after my university years, what skills will I have to enter the profession?
A right decision today can open up a very different journey in the years to come. For thousands of K20 freshmen, that journey has officially begun.
