Dai Nam University aims to create a transnational learning experience with Vietnamese identity

Higher education is entering a new era – where physical borders are gradually being erased, opening up more open and equitable Transnational Education (TNE) opportunities for learners around the world. In that journey, Dai Nam University (DNU) has continuously affirmed its pioneering role in creating a quality educational environment, rich in Vietnamese identity, and attractive to international students.

From global dialogue to real action

At the Deep Dialogue Conference organized by the British Council in Cardiff, with the participation of more than 80 delegates from 34 higher education institutions in 22 countries, educators including Dai Nam University together frankly and deeply looked at the opportunities and challenges of transnational education.

No longer dry "achievement presentations", Deep Dialogue opens up a space for learning, dialogue and sincere sharing - where real values for learners are placed at the center.

One of the core issues discussed at this forum is how to make TNE models not only stop at transferring programs, but also become a co-creation process - where students can truly experience, explore, develop their capacities and career opportunities as when studying at the home institution. Because transnational education cannot just be "exporting the curriculum", but needs to be designed as a comprehensive, profound and sustainable development journey.

Sharing after the conference, Associate Professor , Dr. Dao Thi Thu Giang - Principal said: " Deeply understanding those core values, Dai Nam University clearly defines its strategic orientation: Proactively building and implementing high-quality transnational training programs, focusing on learners, imbued with Vietnamese cultural identity and meeting international standards ..."

In the coming time, Dai Nam University will select a number of key training majors to implement full-time programs for international students. Students will come to study and experience directly in Vietnam, receiving a regular bachelor's degree from Dai Nam University. More importantly, they will live and study in a friendly, open, humane environment and have access to the unique cultural values of the S-shaped country.
