Behind every application for admission lies the trust of an entire family.

With only two days left until the official enrollment day for the K20 freshmen, a family from Phu Tho province came to Dai Nam University (DNU) to inquire about dormitories and prepare accommodation for their child. A chance encounter, a very simple story, but behind it lies something the university always cherishes: the trust of the students and their families in choosing Dai Nam University for this important stage of their lives.

Late in the afternoon, as the day's work was coming to an end, a woman and her family came to the school to inquire about the dormitory registration procedure for their child.

"Excuse me, where do I register for the dormitory?"

That simple question set the stage for a deeply emotional story.

There are still two days until the start of the school year, but the whole family has already taken a bus from Phu Tho to Hanoi. The parents want to take their son to the school, familiarize themselves with the learning environment, and arrange accommodation and meals so that their eldest son can confidently begin a long journey – the journey to becoming a doctor.

The mother is a nurse. When she talked about her son's acceptance into the Medical program at Dai Nam University, joy was evident on her face:

"I'm so happy, sister. This is practically my lifelong dream. I know that Dai Nam University's medical program is excellent, with many graduates passing the residency exams... so my family trusted me enough to let me study here."

The word "trust" was spoken naturally by the mother. But for a university, those two words carry a great deal of responsibility.

BEHIND EVERY STUDENT IS THE GUARDIANSHIP OF A FAMILY.

Each enrollment season, the university welcomes new students. Each student comes from a different region, a different background, and carries a different dream. Behind each student entering the lecture hall is not simply a set of admission documents.

It could be a dream nurtured by parents for many years. It could be the money carefully saved for their children's education. It could be the hundreds of kilometers traveled to take their children to school. It could be the expectations, pride, and future that a family entrusts to their children.

For the family from Phu Tho that afternoon, it was the wish of a mother working as a nurse to see her son wear the white coat of a doctor.

Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thi Thu Giang - Rector - personally welcomed the families of new medical students on their first visit to Dai Nam University before the enrollment day.

The family traveled from Phu Tho to Dai Nam University before the start of the academic year to prepare accommodation and meals for their son. The eldest son had just been accepted into the Medical program and was beginning his journey to fulfill his dream of becoming a doctor.

The photo was taken hastily before the family continued on to complete necessary tasks. It's a very ordinary family photo, but it reminds us of something that should never be commonplace for those in education: Every student who comes to the school is a trust placed in them.

Being chosen is a source of pride, and living up to that choice is a responsibility.

The trust of students, parents, and society is invaluable to any educational institution. However, trust cannot be repaid simply with words of thanks.

It must be answered by the quality of training; by the dedication of the staff; by a serious learning environment; by substantial hours of study, practical sessions, and internships; and finally, by the competence that students acquire upon leaving the classroom. For the medical field, that responsibility is even greater.

Because the students entering this school today will become healthcare providers and life-saving caregivers in the future. To become a doctor, they need a long journey of knowledge, practice, discipline, medical ethics, and professional responsibility.

Therefore, behind the joy of another student choosing Dai Nam University lies a very clear understanding from the school: Since the family has placed their trust in us, the school has a responsibility to live up to that trust.

A NEW JOURNEY BEGINS

From today onwards, the young student's dream of becoming a doctor is no longer just a story for him and his family. On the journey ahead, he will have his family behind him, his teachers by his side, and his own daily efforts.

That path is certainly not short or easy. But what the school hopes is that after years of studying at Dai Nam, students will not only receive a degree, but will truly possess the knowledge, skills, confidence, professional responsibility, and real competence to confidently step into life.

One day, the student sitting among his parents and relatives in today's photo will be wearing a white lab coat.

Back then, the bus ride from Phu Tho to Dai Nam University before the enrollment day would become a beautiful memory for the whole family.

For the school, the most commendable aspect is not simply having a new student enroll, but rather contributing to the growth and fulfillment of a young person's career aspirations.
