Six years ago, when the first 105 students chose to study Medicine at Dai Nam University, it was a decision that placed great faith in a very new training program. There were no senior students to refer to, and no proven outcomes to verify its effectiveness. Six years later, those same pioneering students have provided the answer with concrete results: 95.4% of students graduated on schedule; 13 new doctors were admitted to the residency program, including one valedictorian in Obstetrics and Gynecology; many doctors were recruited immediately after graduation and continued their studies at leading medical training institutions. This is not just the achievement of a single cohort, but also proof of the quality of training, verified by the competence and growth of the students.

The significance of the pioneering medical training program.

In medical training, the residency program is always considered one of the most demanding postgraduate training environments in terms of selection criteria. To be accepted, candidates need not only a solid knowledge base but also to demonstrate clinical thinking skills, research abilities, and professional integrity.

Therefore, the fact that a private university, right from its first Medical Doctor program, had 13 students accepted into residency programs at prestigious public medical universities is not the result of luck. It is the fruit of a well-planned, persistent, and consistent training strategy invested in from the very beginning of the Faculty of Medicine.

The emergence of a top-scoring student in Obstetrics and Gynecology, along with numerous places in the residency program, demonstrates that medical students at Dai Nam University are fully capable of competing in highly demanding academic environments.

What makes up the quality of training?

The success of the first Medical Doctor program did not come from a single successful exam, but rather from the culmination of a training process built on a student-centered approach, with professional competence as the goal and the patient at the heart of all training activities.

Throughout their studies, students are trained in a real learning environment with real exams and real assessments. In the medical field, seriousness in training not only ensures the quality of graduates but also reflects a responsibility towards patients and society. Every piece of knowledge and skill acquired in the classroom forms the foundation for future doctors to confidently enter the professional world.

Alongside its theoretical foundation, the training program emphasizes enhancing early clinical experience through a system of practical training hospitals. Access to patients, observation, and participation in professional activities under the guidance of lecturers and clinical doctors helps students gradually develop diagnostic thinking, practical skills, and professional competence.

Besides professional knowledge, the school places special emphasis on cultivating medical ethics, communication skills, and a spirit of service. These qualities are considered fundamental for each student to develop into a physician with professional competence and social responsibility.

A pillar of confidence for students and parents.

For many families, the decision to pursue a career in medicine always comes with high expectations regarding the quality of education and career opportunities after graduation.

The results of the first Medical Doctor program show that those expectations are gradually being realized. Not only did many graduates complete their studies on schedule with a high success rate, but many were also employed immediately after graduation or continued their studies in residency programs and postgraduate training at leading medical schools.

These outcomes reflect a training orientation focused on practical skills, while also affirming the goal of building a team of doctors capable of lifelong learning and adapting to the increasingly demanding requirements of the healthcare industry.

Quality is measured by the success of the learners.

Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thi Thu Giang, Rector of Dai Nam University, stated that the results of the first Medical Doctor program are proof of the effectiveness of systematic investment in the health sector.

According to her, the university is committed to training doctors with solid expertise, strong medical ethics, research capabilities, and the ability to continue developing at higher levels of education. In the future, Dai Nam University will continue to invest in its faculty, practical training system, international cooperation, and facilities to train high-quality medical personnel to meet the demands of the industry and society.

Associate Professor Hoang Duc Hanh, Head of the Faculty of Medicine and former Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Health, stated that in medical training, the success of graduates is always the most objective measure of training quality.

According to the professor, the fact that 13 students from the first cohort were admitted to the residency program, including a top-scoring specialist in their field, is proof of the effectiveness of the training orientation based on the standards of practical medical practice, focusing on the patient and fostering a spirit of lifelong learning. Even more commendable is the students' aspiration to contribute, their eagerness to learn, and their unwavering commitment to continuous learning – values that the Faculty of Medicine at Dai Nam University consistently cultivates.

For a first training course, the results achieved not only reflect the competitiveness of the learners but also lay the foundation for the School to continue improving the training program, strengthening the connection between teaching, clinical practice and scientific research, aiming to train a team of doctors with professional competence, medical ethics and the ability to integrate into the global community.
