Dai Nam University begins construction of a multi-specialty clinic: Teachers provide hands-on training, ensuring students are proficient before entering the hospital.
Before undertaking internships at major hospitals, medical, nursing, and pharmacy students at Dai Nam University will have a practical training environment right on campus, where their professors will directly teach and guide them in each skill, cultivating professional conduct and responsibility. This is a key objective of the multi-specialty clinic project recently commenced by the university.

Groundbreaking ceremony for the Multi-specialty Clinic - Faculty of Medicine, Dai Nam University.
On the morning of October 2nd, 2026, Dai Nam University (DNU) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Multi-Specialty Clinic - Faculty of Medicine. The project, with a scale of 5 above-ground floors and 1 basement floor, and a total floor area of 3,600 m², is one of the key projects under the infrastructure development strategy for the period 2026-2030.
Beyond simply adding a new facility, Dai Nam University aims to build a practical training environment closely linked to medical examination and treatment activities, where students are prepared with professional skills before entering major medical facilities and hospitals.
TEACHERS PROVIDE HANDS-ON TRAINING - STUDENTS BUILD SOLID SKILLS BEFORE GOING TO THE HOSPITAL
Training healthcare personnel has a special requirement: knowledge must be transformed into skills, professional competence, and responsibility for human health and life.
A student may master the theory and be proficient in operating the model, but still needs guidance and training in a real-world professional environment before participating in patient care.

That is why Dai Nam University invested in building a multi-specialty clinic right on campus.
According to the training orientation, before undertaking internships at major hospitals, medical, nursing, and pharmacy students will have the opportunity to study and practice at clinics under the direct guidance and supervision of the university's faculty and medical experts.
Medical students are guided in approaching patients, taking medical histories, conducting examinations, and gradually developing clinical thinking. Nursing students are trained in patient care, monitoring, and communication skills. Pharmacy students have the opportunity to gain professional experience in drug use, counseling, and safe and appropriate medication use, in line with their training program and the scope of the clinic's operations.
All practical activities are organized according to the students' level and abilities, under the guidance and supervision of professionals, ensuring compliance with patient safety regulations.

Teachers not only teach in the classroom but also provide hands-on guidance directly in the professional environment.
The key point is that the school can proactively develop practical training programs, closely monitor each student, assess the skills acquired, and promptly supplement any knowledge and skills that are lacking.
Instead of relying solely on hospital internships, students now have an additional environment to learn, practice, receive feedback, and improve daily.
Students don't come to the hospital to start learning their first skills; instead, they come with a solid foundation of knowledge, skills, and professional conduct that has been systematically prepared and honed.
The clinic does not replace the role of teaching hospitals but becomes an important bridge between the classroom and the hospital, helping students become more confident when entering the professional medical environment.

ONE CLINIC, TWO MISSIONS: TRAINING MEDICAL PERSONNEL AND PROVIDING COMMUNITY HEALTHCARE
The Dai Nam University Polyclinic is oriented towards simultaneously fulfilling two tasks: serving the training program and providing healthcare services to the community, provided it meets all the required operating conditions.
For students, this is an environment that connects learned knowledge with professional practice. For lecturers, it provides an opportunity to integrate teaching with professional activities, incorporating real-world situations into the training process.
For the community, the project aims to add another healthcare facility, facilitating people's access to medical services.

The multi-specialty clinic - Faculty of Medicine aims to enhance the practical environment and professional experience for students.
In particular, combining training with medical practice aims to cultivate in students qualities that cannot be developed solely through books: empathy, dedication, carefulness, and responsibility towards patients.
Because training a healthcare professional is not just about teaching knowledge and techniques, but also about shaping medical ethics and a spirit of service to humanity.
Dr. Le Dac Son, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dai Nam University, shared: "When it comes into operation, the multi-specialty clinic will not only contribute to meeting the medical needs of people in the area, helping people receive healthcare close to where they live, but also serve as a practical environment for Dai Nam University students to be directly guided and mentored by their teachers, honing their skills and accumulating experience before doing internships at large hospitals."
TWO KEY PROJECTS, ONE INVESTMENT STRATEGY FOR LEARNERS
Along with the Multi-specialty Clinic, Dai Nam University is currently constructing the Phase 3 Lecture Hall Building, a 15-story building with 2 basement levels – the largest project of the university since its establishment.
These two projects are part of the infrastructure development strategy for the period 2026-2030, and are expected to be completed in time for Dai Nam University's 20th anniversary in 2027.
Building 3 after completion.
If Phase 3 expands the space for academic learning, research, and development, then the Multi-specialty Clinic will provide a practical training environment, linking training with professional activities and community health care needs.
These two projects demonstrate the school's focused investment orientation: not only expanding the scale but also improving the quality of training, creating more opportunities for students to learn, experience, and develop their professional skills.
In particular, for the healthcare sector, the multi-specialty clinic will contribute to completing the practical training ecosystem, connecting lecture halls, practice rooms, clinics, and partner hospitals.
This is an important preparatory step for Dai Nam University to continue developing its training model linked to practical experience, meeting the increasingly high demands for quality healthcare human resources.

After 20 years of establishment and development, Dai Nam University continues to choose to invest in long-term values: better learning conditions, more opportunities for practical experience, and more substantial professional skills for its students.
With the Multi-specialty Clinic, the School is not only building another medical facility but also aiming to create a unique training environment – where teachers directly impart their expertise, students are trained through practical experience, and medical knowledge gradually becomes the competence to care for people.
Because students are dedicated to learning - so that each student can acquire real skills and confidently enter their profession.
