On August 15th, thousands of new K20 students and their parents arrived at Dai Nam University (DNU), officially beginning their university journey. Not only did they complete the enrollment procedures, but on their first day, the K20 students also had the opportunity to meet lecturers, learn about their majors, explore the learning environment, and directly experience things related to their future careers.

BEHIND AN ADMISSION APPLICATION FILE LIES THE TRUST OF AN ENTIRE FAMILY.

From early morning, the campus of Dai Nam University was bustling with the first steps of the K20 cohort. There were families from distant provinces who had brought their children to Hanoi the day before; there were parents carefully checking each document before completing the procedures with their children; and there were also new students, still looking bewildered as they stepped through the school gates for the first time with a new identity: university students.

The paperwork was completed one by one. First meetings with professors took place. New friends began to get acquainted. The first photos of student life were taken.

But behind a college application lies the choice, expectations, and faith of an entire family.

Choosing a university is not just about selecting a program for a few years, but also about choosing an environment where young people can accumulate knowledge, develop skills, hone their character, and prepare for their future careers. For Dai Nam University, welcoming a new student therefore also means accepting the responsibility of accompanying them throughout their journey of growth and maturity.

THE FIRST DAY AT SCHOOL IS ALSO THE FIRST DAY OF "TESTING YOUR PROFESSION"

This was evident from the very first day of the K20 cohort's arrival at the university. After completing the registration process, new students were welcomed by the faculties, met with lecturers, learned about the training programs and learning methods, and directly explored the spaces related to their chosen fields of study.

From lecture halls, practice rooms, and labs to stories about internships, businesses, and career opportunities, concepts that were once quite distant from high school students are becoming more concrete. The K20 cohort can ask very practical questions: What will they learn in this field? What skills need to be developed? What kind of practical training will students receive? What jobs can they take on after graduation?

That's the starting point of "getting your start in the profession" .

Getting acquainted with a profession doesn't mean a freshman has to determine their entire future right away. More importantly, it's about getting exposure to the profession earlier, understanding its requirements sooner, and knowing what skills they need to develop from their early years of university.

This is also how an application-oriented university environment brings learning closer to practice: classroom knowledge is gradually transformed into skills, experiences, and work capabilities.

FROM PARENTAL EXPECTATIONS…

For specialized fields like medicine, the choice is even more closely tied to the consideration of the entire family. On enrollment day, many parents spend time researching the training program, learning environment, practical training conditions, and directly discussing their child's academic journey with the lecturers.

Mr. Cao Bao – former Deputy Director of Hospital 354, parent of a new medical student , shared: “As someone who has worked in the medical field, I understand that training doctors must closely link knowledge, practice, and professional responsibility. My family chose Dai Nam University because we hope our child will study in a serious environment, receive early training, and have a solid foundation to pursue a long-term career in medicine. Today, bringing my child to enroll, I feel very reassured and hopeful about the journey ahead.”

…TO THE EXCITEMENT OF YOUNG PEOPLE STARTING A NEW JOURNEY

While parents bring their expectations, the K20 cohort arrives at Dai Nam with the eagerness of young people embarking on a new journey.

Ngoc Linh, a freshman in Information Technology , shared: “I chose Information Technology because I love technology and want to work in this field. The guidance from the professors, the opportunity to learn about the curriculum, and the hands-on experience on my first day of school helped me visualize my chosen field more clearly. I am very excited to start and explore what I can do in the coming years.”

"START YOUR JOURNEY" WITH A CLEAR PATH.

From those initial experiences, the story of university begins to become more concrete: what students will learn, what skills they need to develop, how they must change, and how they must prepare for their future careers.

This is also where Dai Nam places the message "Unleash your identity - illuminate your journey" into the K20 experience.

Each young person enters university with a different starting point, personality, strengths, and dreams. Some love technology and want to enter the world of AI, data, and software; some choose medicine with the desire to become doctors; others pursue business, communication, design, foreign languages, tourism, law, or other professional fields.

University education is not about creating identical individuals. The value of an educational environment lies in its ability to help each student identify their strengths, develop their abilities, and gradually transform their unique characteristics into valuable professional assets.

Therefore, "unleashing one's identity" is not just about expressing personality. It's also a process of self-understanding, knowing what one possesses, what one needs to improve, and who one wants to become. When identity is recognized and abilities are nurtured, each student can be more proactive in building their own path.

The "journey of learning" is concretized through the experiences that K20 students begin with from the day they enroll and will continue throughout their studies: specialized knowledge in the classroom, practical training in labs and specialized facilities, real-world experience, internships, networking with businesses, and opportunities for personal development.

Each student may take a different path, but the common thread is to gradually answer three questions: What do I understand? What can I do? And what value can I create in my future career?

While academic studies are the starting point, professional skills are the foundation that allows young people to go far.

K20 HAS BEGUN - THE DOORS TO DAI NAM REMAIN WIDE OPEN

The K20 Orientation Day at Dai Nam University continues until August 17, 2026. During these days, the university continues to welcome new students and their families to complete procedures, meet with faculties, learn about the learning environment, and prepare for the new academic year.

At the same time, for candidates who have not yet finalized their university choices, Dai Nam University (school code DDN) continues to accept supplementary applications for the first round of admissions in 2026 for 56 training programs, with minimum application scores ranging from 15 to 23 points.

This is an opportunity for candidates to continue choosing a field of study that suits their abilities, interests, and career aspirations.

At this point, the question isn't just "which majors still have vacancies?" , but more importantly: Which major suits me best? What will I learn and practice in? Will this environment help me develop my strengths? And after my university years, what skills will I have to enter the profession?

A right decision today can open up a very different journey in the years to come. For thousands of K20 freshmen, that journey has officially begun.
