Among the 83 graduating students, 1 received an excellent grade, 27 received a good grade, and 53 received a fair grade… Besides the graduation results, the quality of training at the Faculty of Medicine is also demonstrated through the high competition rate in postgraduate entrance examinations.
In the very first recruitment cycle, 7 out of 8 new medical doctors from Dai Nam University were admitted to the residency program in Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Obstetrics at Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy. At the time of the graduation ceremony, 10 new medical doctors from the K14 cohort were participating in the residency entrance exam at Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy. Following this, several more medical doctors from Dai Nam University are preparing to take residency entrance exams at other prestigious universities such as Hanoi Medical University, Hanoi University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, VinUni University, etc.
“These are signals and proof of the capabilities and unwavering determination of the first generation of medical doctors at Dai Nam University. The scientific research achievements of the students have reached impressive numbers. Speaking at the graduation ceremony, newly graduated doctor Tran Hai Yen shared the question that has been asked many times: "Are students from private schools good enough to become doctors?"; "After six years of training, are they capable enough to shoulder the mission of caring for people's health and lives?" and "we have done it." It 's not because we want to prove whether we come from a public or private school, but because after six years of studying and training, we understand that the value of a doctor is not determined by the name of the school on the diploma, but is affirmed by professional competence, medical ethics, and responsibility towards patients. The most valuable thing our teachers gave us is not just medical knowledge or professional skills. They taught us to respect life, to put patients at the center, to listen with our hearts, and to understand that behind every medical record is a person, a family, a hope being entrusted to us.”
