Fostering entrepreneurial mindset among students at Dai Nam University

Entrepreneurship along with innovation is the development orientation that Dai Nam University chooses to follow in the next period of 7-year development. Graduates of Dai Nam University not only have a flair for specialized knowledge, professional skills, language proficiency, skillful techniques but also have good discipline, good health, excellent soft skills and positive attitude. What matters more than anything, is DNU students craving for a positive entrepreneurial mindset. To accomplish that mission, on January 5th Dai Nam University signed a Cooperation agreement on fostering entrepreneurial mindset for DNU students with Bliss Education Joint Stock Company (JSC).

Attending the Signing ceremony, on the side of Dai Nam University, there were Dr. Le Dac Son – the Chairman of the Board, the Board of Directors, together with the Heads of functional Departments and related Faculties and representatives of student clubs.

On the side of partners, there were Mr. Nguyen Van Khuong - Director of the Institute of Education and Environmental Sciences; Mr. Nguyen Van Khanh – Member of Science Council, Institute of Educational and Environmental Sciences; and Mr. Nguyen Cuu Long - Director of Bliss Education JSC.

Dr. Le Dac Son affirmed that the innovative entrepreneurship university model is in the trend of modern education

At the ceremony, Dr. Le Dac Son stated that: “To materialize the mission of providing knowledge for learners to develop comprehensively and meet the requirements of society, Dai Nam University has constantly innovated training programs and teaching methods to improve quality of education. In a sense, entrepreneurship combined with innovation is the university model that we have been devoting all our resources towards. Our ultimate goal is to find ways for students to self-study, become independent and strong enough to overcome difficulties on the way to success. Only in this way can they have a well-paid job after graduation or be offered job opportunities during their final years of university. I hope that the cooperation between Dai Nam University and Bliss Education JSC will provide students with the skills and entrepreneurial mindset, laying a solid foundation for them to start a business and become successful businessmen in the future…”

Nguyen Van Khuong shared his thoughts at the ceremony: “Entrepreneurship university” is currently a big goal of powerful universities on the development path. Witnessing Dai Nam University's strong determination, I do believe that this cooperation will bring the desired results, creating a solid foundation for students to implement their innovative ideas and initiatives, contributing to raising the level of Vietnam's entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem”.

Mr. Nguyen Van Khuong believed that the cooperation between Dai Nam University and Bliss Education JSC will create a brave and successful young generation in the future

Main points of the cooperation agreement between two sides

1. The two sides agree to cooperate strategically and comprehensively in consulting, sponsoring, building and developing education projects on financial mindset.

2. The two sides cooperate in researching, building and developing projects on popularizing financial mindset, establishing student clubs to raise awareness about entrepreneurship as well as improve their creative skills.

3. Organizing activities to develop education and training programs in the form of competitions, seminars and workshops for the purpose of finding and developing talents for students.

4. Cooperating in researching, building and developing entrepreneurial projects through simulation models to support entrepreneurial projects for students.

What are in the curriculum and teaching tools for fostering entrepreneurial mindset for DNU students?

At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Cuu Long introduced three sets of teaching tools, including: Be Rich Co, Diamond Co, and Ky Lan Xung Ba Co to the lecturers of Dai Nam University. He believed that they would help students learn how to manage money, practice negotiation and sales skills, etc.

Mr. Nguyen Cuu Long introduced the teaching tools and curriculum for entrepreneurial mindset for DNU students

Besides that, Mr. Nguyen Cuu Long also introduced the 3-year curriculum for DNU students. In the first year, students would learn about exploring financial mindset. In the second year, they would learn how to make a Free Financial Planning and then build a business model in the last year.

“Completing the above training route, students will have a clear orientation as well as take full advantage of the entrepreneurial power to develop their projects. At the same time, they will be equipped with knowledge, which lays a foundation for coming entrepreneurial projects in the University and creating opportunities for students to integrate into the global innovation trend (GIT)”. Mr. Cuu Long said.

For the purpose of implementing the innovative entrepreneurship university model effectively, Dai Nam University will continue to connect the experts with students and the entrepreneurial community; appreciate creative mindsets and idealize entrepreneurial dreams.
