Not only keeping pace with industry changes, the Faculty of Tourism - Dai Nam University also proactively creates training programs linked to new global tourism development trends. The recently held national scientific conference on digital transformation and green transformation is proof of the applied, up-to-date, and integrated training orientation that the university is pursuing.

The national scientific conference on tourism brought together managers, experts, businesses, and training institutions to exchange solutions for developing the industry in the context of digital transformation and green transformation.

The tourism industry is entering a period of significant transformation. Artificial intelligence (AI), big data, smart tourism, the digital economy, and green development are no longer just trends of the future but have become essential requirements for businesses and human resources.

This means that today's tourism students need not only specialized knowledge but also technological thinking, the ability to adapt quickly, modern management skills, and a sense of sustainable development.

That is also why the Faculty of Tourism - Dai Nam University organized the national scientific conference "Vietnamese Tourism in the Context of Digital Transformation and Green Transformation: Sustainable Development Orientation and Practical Solutions," bringing together leaders of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration, scientists, experts, businesses, and representatives from many training institutions nationwide to discuss the future of the industry.

More than just an academic exchange forum, the conference also reflects how Dai Nam University designs its training programs: always closely linked to the practical development of the industry and incorporating the latest knowledge into the classroom.

In her opening remarks, Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thi Thu Giang - Rector of Dai Nam University - affirmed that scientific research is one of the pillars for improving the quality of education, promoting innovation, and fulfilling the mission of serving the community.

According to the Rector, digital transformation and green transformation are opening up many opportunities but also placing the tourism industry before the need for comprehensive innovation in governance, technology, and human resource development. These are precisely the areas that universities need to quickly update so that students have the necessary skills to adapt to the future labor market.

Bringing business and real-world practices directly into the classroom.

What sets the Faculty of Tourism at Dai Nam University apart is not only its training program but also its applied training model.

Through a network of partners including businesses, hotels, resorts, travel companies, and tourism management agencies, students gain practical experience, visit businesses, undertake internships early on, and become familiar with the working environment while still in university.

Experts shared diverse perspectives on digital transformation, green transformation, human resource training, and sustainable tourism development during the workshop's panel discussion.

The issues discussed at the workshop will also become a source of practical learning materials, contributing to updating training content and helping students access the latest industry trends early on, instead of just learning from textbooks.

This is how Dai Nam University bridges the gap between education and the actual needs of businesses.

Training human resources leads the development of the industry.

In the context of digital transformation and green transformation shaping the future of Vietnam's tourism industry, the competitive advantage of students no longer lies in their degree but in their ability to adapt, innovate, and master technology.

Regularly connecting academics, businesses, and regulatory bodies through scientific forums is evidence of the development strategy of the Faculty of Tourism - Dai Nam University: to train graduates who not only meet today's employment needs but also have the capacity to lead the development of the industry in the future.
