Dai Nam University hosts Job Fair 2023: when the job search process has been revolutionized by bringing businesses directly to campus

With participation from hundreds of businesses, the Job Fair 2023 - "My Job, My Career” held on May 26th serves as a platform where students can connect with numerous businesses to explore and secure their desired careers. Gone are the days of relying solely on personal connections or the support of family and acquaintances. At this event, DNU-ers can proactively engage with businesses and find positions that align with their abilities, strengths, and fields of study.

Dai Nam University, in collaboration with nearly 100 prestigious enterprises, organizes the event through its "Career & Entrepreneurship Center", offering students, especially seniors, opportunities to showcase their abilities; connect with potential recruiters in search of employment opportunities, internships, and experiential prospects. It also enables businesses to access a talented young workforce and select potential interns and candidates for their positions.

During his speech at the Job Fair, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Hong, the Rector of Dai Nam University, emphasized the significance of the Student Job Fair 2023 as a crucial initiative in implementing their career-oriented training policy: “The main objective of this policy is to ensure that all graduates from Dai Nam University secure employment in their respective fields of study. This event speaks for the University's commitment to providing a comprehensive educational experience that integrates closely with businesses, such as: facilitating student internships in companies, and fostering a collaborative relationship between the University and businesses. These efforts have proven to be highly effective over the past 16 years”.

The University has taken proactive measures to achieve their ambitious goal of enabling 100% of graduates to find quality employment with competitive salaries. DNU has established strategic partnerships with businesses, promoting various collaborative activities for students to have early internships in companies. Experts from various industries also contribute to their education by delivering specialized instruction aligned with industry demands. In some cases, the University even pays fees to businesses to ensure their meaningfulness.

The extensive collaboration between Dai Nam University and businesses has yielded significant benefits. Notably, it allows the University to swiftly enhance and update its training programs to align with practical applications and the evolving needs of the labor market. By emphasizing the practical application of theory, students are well-prepared to seamlessly transition into the workforce upon graduation, eliminating the need for businesses to provide additional training.

The Job Fair offers students more than just the chances to find suitable employment based on their abilities. It also provides them with valuable insights into the actual recruitment processes and requirements of businesses, helping them enhance themselves and gain confidence when applying for their desired job positions

The Student Job Fair 2023 - "My Job, My Career" attracted over 1.000 seniors who actively participated in the recruitment process of nearly 100 companies. Additionally, thousands of sophomores and juniors joined in to explore internship opportunities, gain practical experience, and seek part-time jobs related to their fields of study.

The fair featured over 200 job positions, covering various disciplines offered by the University, including: Pharmacy, Nursing; Business Administration, English Language, Chinese Language, Korean Language, Japanese Language, Information Technology, Tourism, Accounting, Finance & Banking, Law, etc. Around 160 positions were full-time and 40 positions were part-time, and all underwent official interviews during the Student Job Fair 2023 - "My Job, My Career".

Despite the harsh weather, students were enthusiastic and patient as they stood in line, waiting for their turn to be interviewed for the job positions offered by businesses

The monthly salaries for both full-time and part-time positions ranged from 6 - 15 million VND, with some positions offering high starting salaries of up to 30 million VND per month

To ensure the most favorable conditions for students, the University arranged 05 waiting rooms for students awaiting their interviews

As part of the Job Fair 2023 at Dai Nam University, Hop Luc Corporation - the diamond sponsor of the event, provided more than 20 job positions (without any limit on the number of openings) in fields such as: Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Accounting, Economics & Business, and Communications.

At the end of the recruitment interviews, nearly 50 candidates from the University's Health sector were successfully hired and officially became members of Hop Luc Corporation.

Particularly, receiving direct training in CV design and participating in recruitment interviews helps sophomores and juniors gain a better understanding of their strengths and weaknesses, as well as the practical recruitment requirements of businesses. This enables them to continuously improve themselves to meet the demands of the labor market upon graduation.
