Comprehensive cooperation between Dai Nam University and the Vietnam Private Hospitals Association

With the signed cooperation agreements, students majoring in the Healthcare section (Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing) at Dai Nam University will have the opportunity to engage in practical activities and receive professional skills training through experiential learning and internships at private hospitals affiliated with the Association. This collaboration will enable students to gain practical experience and foster the spirit of entrepreneurship, following the model of "Applied University - Entrepreneurship and Innovation”, which the University is focusing on.

Attending the Signing Ceremony, on the side of Vietnam Private Hospitals Association, there was Prof. Nguyen Van De, Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam Private Hospitals Association, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hop Luc Joint Stock Company; along with other Heads within the Vietnam Private Hospitals Association.

On the side of Dai Nam University, there was the presence of Representatives of the Governing Board and the Heads of functional departments, faculties, offices, and schools of the University.

Both sides "reap the advantages"

Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Van De highly appreciated the quality of Healthcare training programs offered by Dai Nam University in such fields as: Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy. He expressed his belief in the collaboration between Dai Nam University and the Vietnam Private Hospitals Association, hoping for the numerous development opportunities it brings for both parties.

"The association possesses sufficient conditions to develop and seek high-quality resources, while the University has a solid foundation to enhance the quality of education and training for professional and well-experienced doctors, pharmacists, and nurses with a strong sense of ethics for the country," affirmed Mr. Nguyen Van De.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Hong, the Rector of Dai Nam University, stated that: "Adhering to the principles of cultivating a dynamic and socially responsible workforce of doctors, pharmacists, and nurses, Dai Nam University constantly innovates its training programs, teaching methods and teaching staff. We also expand strategic partnerships with leading healthcare institutions in Vietnam to provide students with opportunities for real-world experiences, practical training, and internships." 

Accordingly, the Pharmacy training program at undergraduate level has achieved quality accreditation from the Ministry of Education and Training. 50% of healthcare students secure employment with stable incomes while still pursuing their studies through the university's connections with businesses. Additionally, all of the graduates get employed in their respective fields within the first year.

Especially, Dai Nam University's healthcare section has gained international recognition, as more than 200 Indian students study abroad majoring in General Medicine in August 2023.

The university's training quality is committed to bring students their learning and personal growth”.

The comprehensive cooperation entails the following key aspects

1. Both parties are fully committed to engaging in comprehensive collaboration in all professional fields that align with mutual functions, responsibilities, capabilities, and demands. 

The signing ceremony marks the beginning of numerous opportunities for mutual growth and development

2. In the initial stage, both parties will focus on collaborative efforts to implement the following significant initiatives:

- Implementing cooperative measures in training programs and professional development for faculty members, staff, and relevant partners.

- Coordinating the organization of seminars, conferences, and business forums to update information, share professional experiences, knowledge, and vocational skills among enterprises, entrepreneurs, and students.

- Collaborating on "Entrepreneurship" programs and initiatives, that involve the transfer of valuable experiences and effective working methods within enterprises, etc., to provide opportunities for DNU students with practical exposure, skill development, experiential learning, and foster an entrepreneurial spirit. 

- Conducting joint surveys and research to assess the current needs and recruitment requirements of enterprises, aiming to enhance the quality of human resource training at Dai Nam University and cater to the increasing demands of society. 

- The Vietnam Private Hospital Association will act as a facilitator, offering comprehensive support and establishing connections between Dai Nam University and the business community. They will also assist in introducing well-qualified students to member organizations and companies seeking to recruit talent, arrange visits, professional  internships and practical training opportunities for students at organizations and businesses if necessary.

How to become a student in the Healthcare section at Dai Nam University in 2023

For the academic year 2023-2024, Dai Nam University will admit students for the formal undergraduate programs in the following fields: General Medicine (major code: 7720101), Pharmacy (major code: 7720201), and Nursing (major code: 7720301) based on 04 admission methods:
In specific:
Method 1: Selection based on the National High School Exam results of 03 subjects registered for admission.

Applicants with exam scores that meet the minimum standard threshold set by the University after the announcement of the high school graduation exam results in 2023, except for the Healthcare programs with specific criteria set by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Method 2: Selection based on Grade 12’s transcripts of the 03 subjects registered for admission.

- For admission to General Medicine & Pharmacy, applicants are required to ensure Grade 12 academic performance ranked from “Very good" or High school graduation assessment score from 8.0, combined with the total score of 03 subjects from 24.

- For admission to Nursing, applicants are required to ensure Grade 12 academic performance ranked from “Good” or High school graduation assessment score from 6.5, combined with the total score of 03 subjects from 19.5.

- For admission to other majors: The minimum total score of 03 subjects is 18.

Method 3: Direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the specific regulations of Dai Nam University.

Method 4: Admission for candidates graduated from International High schools.
