Why do Dai Nam University lecturers need to go on business field trips?
Dai Nam University is always consistent with the training philosophy of “Learning to change - learning to do - learning to live”. The school not only requires students to go to practice to understand the profession, but also sends lecturers to businesses to live with the profession. Because only when the teacher understands the breath of reality, the lecture will have a soul, knowledge will become real capacity. This policy is being strongly implemented in many faculties, of which the Faculty of Logistics and International Business is a typical example.

Bringing lecturers back to the real life of the profession
Three days of “real combat” in the port city of Hai Phong – the largest logistics center in the North – helped the lecturers of the Faculty of Logistics and International Business of DNU truly touch the life of the profession.
They witnessed firsthand the process of port exploitation, warehouse operations, customs clearance, experienced TOS, WMS, RFID, IoT technology and exchanged with leading businesses about global supply chain trends.

Unlike classroom hours, the three days in Hai Phong were a learning journey through practical experience.
“If we want students to learn a real profession, teachers must also live a real life with their profession,” Ms. Ngo Phuong Thao, Lecturer at the Faculty of Logistics and International Business, shared.
That experience not only broadens knowledge but also instills in teachers a deep sense of professional inspiration – making each lecture lively, authentic and full of energy.

Lecturers directly observed port operations, warehouse operations, customs procedures, cargo management, and especially had in-depth exchanges with experts and leading logistics enterprises about development trends and new technologies in the global supply chain.
Bringing business into the classroom through teachers
After each field trip, teachers become a “reverse bridge” – bringing businesses into the classroom. New technologies, modern processes, real-life management situations and career stories are naturally integrated into each lesson. Students not only learn theory but also “smell” the profession, “hear” the rhythm of business life – shortening the gap between training and practice.
Thanks to that, Dai Nam lecture hall is no longer a place to simply impart knowledge, but becomes an environment that simulates real careers, helping students confidently step into the future.

Each tour and each seminar is a “life lesson”, helping lecturers gain a deeper understanding of the industry’s operating rhythm – from TOS, WMS, RFID, IoT technology to modern supply chain management models being applied in businesses.
Bringing education back to its essence: learning to do – teaching to live
Going to a business is not only to “learn a profession”, but also to learn the spirit of work – discipline, innovation, creativity and responsibility. Lecturers return to the classroom with the mindset of a companion, an inspiration, helping students not only “do the job”, but also live a valuable life in their work.
Dai Nam University believes that: A teacher must be a dedicated learner before teaching with dedication.

Returning to the classroom, lecturers bring with them a wealth of practical knowledge, authentic career stories, and lessons learned from businesses, helping students learn in a realistic learning environment – closely linked to their future careers.
From experience to knowledge – from knowledge to inspiration
The training trip in Hai Phong lasted only three days, but opened up a longer journey – a lifelong learning journey for teacher Dai Nam.
That is how the school cultivates a team of lecturers who know how to teach through experience, inspire through practice, and work with students to create a solid career future.
