The conference discussed worldwide experiences and suggested solutions and recommendations for Vietnam. It also emphasized the significance of creating and researching Fintech education programs at colleges, such as Dai Nam University.

Dr. Le Dac Son emphasized that the attendance of 200 delegates, experts, and scholars demonstrated the conference's reputation and provided an opportunity for Dai Nam University to develop academic exchange and international collaboration.

The event received 117 papers from scientists, managers, and Fintech specialists worldwide.

The discussions focused on the socioeconomic consequences of Fintech, legislative directions for Vietnam, and practical insights from digital payment education initiatives in the United States and Ethiopia. Other talks covered the factors that influence Fintech startup formation in Asia, the potential and challenges of countering money laundering and fraud, and reducing Fintech's negative societal repercussions.

Fintech Workforce Training: Challenges and Directions from Experts' Perspectives

Dr. Nguyen Tu Anh, Director of the Center for Economic Information, Analysis, and Forecasting, CPV Central Commitee’s Economic Commission stated that the Fintech wave in Vietnam has evolved in the last 15 years, mirroring global patterns. From 48 Fintech businesses in 2017, the number has increased to over 200 now, demonstrating outstanding development.

Dr. Nguyen Tu Anh recommended that students choose colleges with strong financial and technological underpinnings, as well as strong market links, in order to obtain considerable advantages.

Dr. Can Van Luc, BIDV's Chief Economist and a member of the National Financial and Monetary Policy Advisory Council, addressed the difficulty of training a workforce to fulfill Vietnam's Fintech development needs.

Universities confront challenges in identifying specialized subjects, providing effective training programs, and cultivating qualified Fintech professors. Furthermore, ecosystems for practical training and career orientation for students are inadequate.

"To address these issues, closer collaboration among universities, businesses, and financial institutions is essential." according to Dr. Can Van Luc.

Dr. Can Van Luc also provided insightful and practical proposals for accelerating Fintech growth in Vietnam.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Ngoc Duc, Dean of the Fintech Academy at Dai Nam University, emphasized: “The importance of focusing on two critical criteria while training Fintech experts to satisfy market demands. To begin, faculty members must receive extensive training to ensure that they have a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical expertise. Students should also actively participate in hands-on activities, teamwork, and real-world projects to ensure that they are completely prepared to enter the job right after graduation.”

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Ngoc Duc stressed the need of developing and implementing long-term and short-term Fintech training programs in Vietnam.

Unique Fintech Training Model at Dai Nam University

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Ngoc Duc stated that the papers given at the conference are excellent resources for Dai Nam University's Fintech training programs.

He also described three distinguishing elements of the university's Fintech training model:

First, students are trained entirely in Vietnamese, which is convenient and provides a solid learning foundation for pupils, especially given that most international Fintech resources are generally in English.

Second, the program effectively blends theory and practice. Students spend 50% of their time practicing in a contemporary lab system, which helps them acquire practical skills while studying and prepares them for future careers.

Third, the training is intimately associated with major Fintech companies. Internships allow students to obtain practical experience as early as their first or second year of university.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Ngoc Duc at Dai Nam University, emphasizes that graduates can start working right away, reducing risks for organizations when onboarding new employees.

Prof. Jo-Hui Chen of Chung Yuan University, Taiwan, emphasized the importance of international collaboration in assisting students in developing comprehensive skills and strengthening research and training programs. These activities improve Dai Nam University's reputation and stature in Fintech education.

Prof. Jo-Hui Chen praised Dai Nam University's second International Fintech Conference for its academic depth, professionalism, and scope.

The second International Fintech Conference was a crucial step towards Dai Nam University's alignment with global trends. The event laid a solid platform for international cooperation, raised educational standards, and addressed the demand for skilled personnel in Vietnam's Fintech sector.

Choosing Dai Nam University provides Fintech students with a sophisticated learning environment, immersive practical training, and extended job options under the supervision of prominent experts in the area.
