The Job Fair – DNU Job Fair phase 2: Resolving All Concerns about Employment for Final-year students

The Job Fair - DNU Job Fair phase 2 successfully tackled the employment problem for 40% of graduating students by involving more than 20 organizations offering several job prospects. The event once again affirms the efforts of Dai Nam University (DNU) establishing connections between students and businesses, ensuring that 100% of graduates find employment.

At the event, Ms. Cao Thi Hoa – Vice Chair of the School Council, Vice Rector, emphasized: DNU Job Fair phase 2 is a bridge for students to connect with reputable firms, where companies seek potential candidates. This event provides an opportunity for companies to identify suitable candidates. The university and businesses work to address the job "equation" for students, so contributing to the general economic development.

"This is a precious opportunity, the last train for no student to be left unemployed after graduation. When entering the workforce, it is important to approach it with a modest demeanor, overcome difficulties, and start from small tasks. Only then can you build a solid foundation for the future" Ms. Hoa advised.

Productive transactions between companies and students persisted throughout the event.

In this phase 2, companies offered 150 job positions, without any restrictions on recruitment numbers, related to the university's training fields such as Pharmacy, Nursing, Business Administration, Finance and Banking, Information Technology... Salaries range from 9 to 25 million VND, not including positions in other countries like South Korea, Taiwan, with salaries up to 65-70 million VND per month.

The program attracted a large number of final-year students who were either unemployed or seeking career transitions. Even second and third-year students actively seized the opportunity to assess their CVs, explore internships, gain practical skills, and seek part-time jobs.

Despite the hot weather, students patiently lined up for surveys and connected to the Employment Information Portal to access thousands of attractive job positions.

The students' solid expertise, occupational proficiency, interpersonal abilities, and professionalism helped students quickly "impress" recruiters. Several young people even proactively negotiated with businesses and received starting salaries up to 20 million VND per month.

Nguyen Thi Phuong – an English Language student expressed her desire to seek a more favorable opportunity for personal growth and income enhancement, although already being employed - "The Job Fair has facilitated the fulfillment of my aspiration."

A representative from True Connect Technology Joint Stock Company stated: "Dai Nam University students possess the the desirable qualities that businesses are actively seeking. Through the program, we have also effectively secured highly skilled professionals who are capable of commencing work immediately without requiring any more training."

Essentially resolving the employment issue for final-year students

By the end of the program, 100% of graduating students had connected their information on the Employment Information Portal, which the University and partner Vieclam24h.com collaborated on to ensure ongoing support for students even after graduation. Over 90% of final-year students had jobs, especially in fields like Business Administration, Accounting, Language Studies, with an assured employment rate ranging from 95% to 99%.

Ms. Pham Thi Dung – Director of the Career and Entrepreneurship Center stated that the second phase of the Job Fair has effectively addressed the job problem for graduating students. The Center pledges to consistently provide guidance and assistance to students, alumni in their job search, and income enhancement even after graduation."

The Job Fair, known as the DNU Job Fair phase 2 in 2024, has officially ended, signaling the start of fresh and exciting employment prospects for students. Dai Nam University will continue to expand its network of business partnerships; arranging workshops, providing career guidance, and hosting job fairs to ensure that graduates attain lucrative employment and develop into responsible members of society.
