This year, the training week was designed with four practical topics shared by leading experts in various fields, bringing new knowledge, new perspectives, and adding energy for DNU's teachers and students to confidently step into the new school year with the spirit of "changing to breakthrough, every day at school is a happy day, ensuring the goal of 100% of graduates having jobs".

The training week took place from August 5th to 9th, 2024, attracting the participation of over 1.000 staff, lecturers, and employees across the university.

The entire system is involved in motivating students

At the seminar "Action plan to implement groups of solutions to motivate students' learning", Dai Nam University drew on over 100 papers from units at the previous seminar to create the most significant seminar of the training week, inspiring students to master the key concerns and engaging the entire system.

In the 2024-2025 academic year, all staff, lecturers, and employees must take drastic action to implement groups of solutions to motivate students' learning. This is an urgent task to ensure that graduates can immediately integrate into the competitive labor market...", emphasized Dr. Le Dac Son, Chairman of the University Council.

Accordingly, to effectively implement groups of solutions to motivate students' learning, Dai Nam University focuses on synchronously implementing:

Firstly, motivate and encourage teachers by providing a dynamic, convenient working environment; Ensuring salary, benefits, and welfare regimes; strengthening training courses to improve professional expertise and skills; creating a comfortable, contented working environment so that every day at school is full of positive energy.

A dynamic, modern, and convenient working environment for DNU's faculty and students.

A joyful and inspiring work environment for faculty members.

Secondly, encourage students to learn by offering them a training program that closely resembles practical work, teaching and learning fundamentals of the major and specialty; changing the form of testing and evaluation; applying and developing new learning platforms (LMS...); creating extensive internship and practical experience programs; organizing extracurricular activities, developing professional clubs related to learning; planning extracurricular activities,  and promptly assisting in understanding the thoughts and challenges of students in their studies and lives; adapting techniques and technologies in the classroom; strengthening international exchange to increase opportunities for students to experience and study abroad.

The training program closely follows reality.

Ensure requirements of the labor market

Effective learning strategies, goals, and career orientation are provided to students as soon as they walk into the classroom.

Especially, to create internal motivation for students, DNU strives to assist students to clearly define personal goals, career orientation, and effective ways to study at university from the first year onward. From there, assist them in developing new attitudes and behaviors, a daily practice of positive thought, efficient time management skills, the creation of successful learning strategies, and a passion for learning and exploring.

Representatives from the Governing Board and Department Heads are committed to creating a momentum shift and a dynamic new academic year

According to Dr. Le Dac Son: "The groups of solutions focus on solving fundamental issues, promoting internal motivation for educators and learners alike. With an urgent and serious involvement, Dai Nam University will undoubtedly accomplish breakthrough goals in all areas, creating a positive work and inclusive learning environment, and guaranteeing that all graduates ensure employment."

Optimizing the application of AI in teaching and training

The application of artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching and training is becoming increasingly popular, providing benefits that go above and beyond what is anticipated for both educators and learners. In order to help learners achieve their learning objectives more successfully, AI not only analyze each person's learning data to provide tailored exercises and lectures that are appropriate for their level and learning pace; create personalized learning paths, helping learners achieve learning goals most effectively. It enhances learning effectiveness by allowing learners to study anytime, anywhere, across multiple platforms, and supports 24/7 access to learning resources. AI also intelligently interacts with users, responds to questions, and creates a variety of practical exercises.

At the seminar "Applying AI in implementing teaching activities of lecturers", DNU teachers were guided by experts on how to improve work by using chatbots and creating compelling prompts. They also received thorough training on how to apply and optimize AI for various job goals that are appropriate for each department and individual.

The integration of AI has empowered lecturers to streamline their work processes, enhancing productivity and saving time.

Shaping the socio-economic thinking of staff and lecturers

At the seminar "Vietnam's socio-economic situation in the first 6 months of the year and forecast for the last 6 months of 2024", Dai Nam University faculties were able to witness the overall picture of Vietnam's socio-economy and shape their thinking and actions in the context of the country.

Dr. Le Dac Son shared: "In the context of a difficult economy, we are fortunate to have a stable job, not much affected by market fluctuations. I hope that all faculties  will wholeheartedly maintain their current work to fulfill the best task of educating people while also making sure their own lives are taken care of."

The expert's practical insights were highly appreciated by all staff and lecturers.

Mastering the voice and applying practically to teaching

The power of voice depends not only on the content but also on the way of delivery and delivery technique. Effective voice use can have a positive effect and accomplish  communication objectives.

At the seminar: "The power of voice", experts brought an engaging sharing session with lively practice moments, assisting DNU teachers in learning how to connect words, talk from the abdomen, pause, and use emotions to produce dynamic sounds.

In addition to helping students become better speakers, these abilities support educators in communicating ideas concisely, and persuasively.
