New majors offered at Dai Nam University in 2023

In order to prepare human resources for Industry 4.0 and integrate with economic development, after thorough research, Dai Nam University has launched three new majors, including Digital Economy (major code 7310109), Digital Marketing (major code 7340115), and Japanese Studies (major code 7220209), with an increased target for admissions for the 2023-2024 academic year of 7.030 students.

Sharing about the policy of offering new majors in 2023, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Hong - President of Dai Nam University said that: “03 new training majors offered in 2023 are in great demand for human resources and among the most common fields of study for students. Dai Nam University wishes to establish itself as a prestigious university training and providing high - quality human resources for society in such fields; and to catch up with the career development trend in the digital era”. 

Digital Economy - Students could obtain paid internships at enterprises since sophomore year 

Focusing on practice, Dai Nam University cooperates with enterprises to provide students majoring in Digital Economy practical lessons and experiences taught by business owners. After 2 academic years, students could obtain paid internships at enterprises and get Bachelor degrees after 3 years. 

The training program is designed with great emphasis on specialized subjects, supplementary subjects, and practical subjects.

In specific: 

At the end of the first year, students could carry out such simple professions as: business environmental analysis, E-commerce website analysis, online purchasing process analysis and analysis of specific work processes, etc. 

At the end of the second year, students could acquire such expertise and  professional skills as: strategic management, human resource management, financial management, digital enterprise management, digital transformation, E-commerce application in business activities ...

At the end of the third year, students could master the knowledge, skills, and attitudes in all three areas of foundational and specialized knowledge in Economics, applied Information Technology, and applied Economic Mathematical and Statistical tools for professional activities and entrepreneurship in digital platforms.

Digital Marketing: Major provides students with practical experience and instant jobs on campus

Majoring in Digital Marketing at Dai Nam University, students are equipped with knowledge about Digital Marketing to develop their career in the age of digitalization and technology.

In particular, subjects included in this major provide students with basic knowledge in the field of Marketing such as: Basic Marketing, Management, Digital Marketing, Consumer Behaviors, Marketing Strategy, Content Marketing, Service Marketing, PR, etc.. The course content of these subjects are closely associated with practice related to the constant digital transformation process in the field of Mar-Tech (Marketing Technology), market research, customer relations, product distribution, communication, brand advertising and customer relationship management.

Japanese Studies: Students get paid internships in Japan from the 2nd year and work in Japan after graduation

Students majoring in Japanese Studies at Dai Nam University are equipped with basic and advanced knowledge about Japanese language and culture. They would study 4 basic skills: Listening - Speaking - Reading - Writing in Japanese, specialized knowledge of translation, commercial, teaching and other  additional knowledge such as Japanese tourism, Japanese journalism, economic relations between Japan and Vietnam... to be able to work in diverse fields in Japanese.

Its duration lasts for 3 years and a half (3 semesters/ year), helping students save time and costs. They therefore could enter the labor market as early as possible.

Especially, the career internship programs in Japan lasting from 6 months to 1 year for sophomores and juniors reaching Japanese level equivalent to JLPT N3 offers them chances to improve their Japanese language skills and gain actual experience in Japan.

04 admission methods of Dai Nam University in 2023

Method 1: Selection based on the National High School Exam results of 03 subjects registered for admission. Students must be High school graduates with exam scores meeting the minimum standard threshold set by the University.

Method 2: Selection based on Grade 12’s transcripts of 03 subjects registered for admission.

Method 3: Direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and Dai Nam University

Method 4: Admission for applicants graduated from International High schools
