During their working visit to Guangdong and Guangxi provinces in China, the delegation from Dai Nam University, led by Dr. Le Dac Son – Chairman of the University Council, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thi Thu Giang – Rector, and several other administrative staff members, held working sessions with universities, educational corporations, research centers, and technology companies. The trip opened up practical avenues for cooperation in applied training, artificial intelligence, e-commerce, and high technology, contributing to the development of learning, practice, and career opportunities for students.

In the context of higher education undergoing a strong shift towards internationalization, digitalization, and alignment with the labor market, Dai Nam University recognizes that international cooperation must aim at providing specific values for learners: opportunities for learning, practice, internships, research, entrepreneurship, and employment.

Therefore, the trip focused on surveying new development models of applied higher education, where the classroom is inseparable from businesses, technology, and the practical demands of the digital economy.

Learning from the enterprise-linked training model in Guangdong.

The delegation visited and worked with Kepei Group - Guangdong Institute of Technology - an applied education model with extensive experience in organizing practical training linked to businesses.

The delegation visited the practical training facilities, training centers, project-based learning models, and the collaboration mechanism between the school and businesses. Notably, businesses not only advise on the program but also directly undertake many practical activities, send experts to guide students, provide a professional environment, and participate in assessing skills and issuing professional certificates to learners.

This model allows students to access work processes, equipment, technology, and professional standards during their studies, thereby bridging the gap between training and the needs of the labor market.

This is also the direction that Dai Nam University is persistently pursuing in its strategic plan "Opening the Classroom - Partnering with Businesses - Accelerating Technology," with the goal of making businesses a part of the training process, helping students develop professional skills right from their time in university.

Expanding cooperation in education, language, and culture.

In Guangxi, the delegation worked with Guangxi Foreign Language University to discuss areas of cooperation in language training, student and faculty exchange, scientific research, cultural exchange, and academic networking.

In the context of expanding cooperation between Vietnam and China, foreign languages are no longer just supplementary skills, but have become fundamental competencies for students to study, intern, and work in an international environment. Both sides discussed the possibility of developing applied Chinese language programs, increasing interdisciplinary connections, providing Vietnamese language training for Chinese learners, organizing short-term programs, cultural exchanges, and connecting students with Chinese businesses in Vietnam.

This is an important foundation for Dai Nam University to expand international experience opportunities for students, while simultaneously preparing a workforce with expertise, foreign language skills, cultural understanding, and the ability to adapt to a multinational work environment.

A new milestone in collaboration on artificial intelligence.

During this trip, the delegation visited, exchanged views with, and signed a cooperation agreement with the ASEAN-China Artificial Intelligence Application Cooperation Center. This is a particularly significant milestone, opening up opportunities for strategic cooperation in applied AI training, faculty development, program development, AI business networking, scientific research support, technology product incubation, and human resource training for businesses with trade and investment relations with Vietnam.

In the context of AI creating profound changes in education, production, governance, and the labor market, establishing a partnership with a regional-scale AI research center will help Dai Nam University quickly update new technological trends and gradually integrate AI into university training, research, and governance.

This also affirms the university's commitment to making AI a foundational competency for faculty, students, and the entire training ecosystem.

Access to high technology, circular economy, and applied innovation.

During the trip, the delegation also worked with Kim Son High-Tech Group, an enterprise operating in the fields of environmental technology, solid waste treatment, resource recycling, clean energy, smart manufacturing, digital transformation, and green transformation.

The discussions with Kim Son Group provided many insights for the University in connecting training with major societal development issues such as environment, energy, green technology, smart manufacturing, and the circular economy. These are fields that require not only technology but also well-trained human resources with innovative thinking and the ability to work within a business-research institute-university ecosystem.

With its orientation as an applied university, Dai Nam University considers these experiences important for further research and development of training programs, applied research, and business cooperation in the future.

Directions for e-commerce and the digital economy

Visiting and working with Kinh Hong Culture Company, a very young enterprise, has inspired the school with many new ideas in training orientation regarding e-commerce business models, especially content e-commerce, livestreaming, digital media, and cultural promotion on digital platforms, with a very remarkable growth and development rate.

These models demonstrate how the rapid development of technology is changing the way e-commerce is organized. E-commerce in the digital age is not just about buying and selling goods on online platforms, but is also linked to creative content, culture, media, data, community interaction, and user experience.

Affirming the internationalization strategy of Dai Nam University

The series of activities in Guangdong and Guangxi further affirms Dai Nam University's internationalization strategy, which is substantive, selective, and closely linked to the interests of its students.

The working visit has laid important foundations for the University to continue innovating its training programs, strengthening the application of technology, expanding cooperation with businesses, and improving the quality of human resources for the nation. In the future, Dai Nam University will continue to select cooperation contents that are suitable to the University's capabilities, the needs of students, and the conditions for implementation in Vietnam.

With the motto "Open classrooms – Partnering businesses – Accelerating technology," Dai Nam University will continue to strive to build a modern learning environment closely linked to practice, helping students not only acquire specialized knowledge but also develop professional skills, innovative thinking, and the ability to integrate internationally in the digital age.
