In many educational institutions, internal training often stops at disseminating regulations, updating procedures, or reiterating technical requirements. However, at Dai Nam University (DNU) , each internal training session is considered a strategically significant activity: redefining mindsets, strengthening the cultural foundation, and renewing the spirit of action of the entire staff .

Within the framework of the regular internal training program for faculty and staff at the beginning of 2026 , Dr. Le Dac Son – Chairman of the Board of Dai Nam University – directly shared a presentation on the topic “Dai Nam Culture - Understanding to Harmonize, Trusting to Go Far” .

This is not a one-way lecture, nor is it a repetition of familiar slogans, but rather a frank and profound dialogue about the identity, reason for existence, and long-term development path of the School.

Understanding the culture to integrate – Trusting the culture to go the distance

According to Dr. Le Dac Son, culture is an intangible factor but has the strongest influence on the development of an organization . In the same work environment, some people grow very quickly, while others struggle; the difference lies not in the conditions, but in the level of understanding and belief in the organizational culture .

At DNU, every faculty member, lecturer, and staff member is not only required to fulfill their duties, but is also invited to fundamentally understand : who Dai Nam is, what Dai Nam was created for, and where each individual stands in that shared journey. Because if one only works without understanding the mission and without believing in the chosen path, it will be very difficult to go far – and even more difficult to walk together sustainably.

Who are the people at Dai Nam University and why is it named "Dai Nam"?

"Dai Nam" is not a random name. It is the culmination of national spirit, self-reliance , and the aspiration to build a university of Vietnamese people, by Vietnamese people, and for Vietnamese people .

Born amidst numerous shortcomings in higher education – much learning but little practice, many degrees but insufficient actual competence – Dai Nam University was not created to "beautify" the system, but to solve the practical problems of society through substantive education.
