Communication students practice their profession through a professional seminar "Press Relations and Internal Communication in the Digital Age"

Recently, the Public Relations class 14-01 held a professional seminar on “Press Relations and Internal Communications in the Digital Age”. This is the practical content of the subject of Press Relations and Corporate Culture & Internal Communications. The seminar marks the practical activity that will be applied to the specialized subjects of the two majors of Public Relations and Multimedia Communications.
Press and media relations is a specific activity of the PR department in a business. This activity requires those working in the media to have a good understanding of the law; culture, identity, and business operations; especially master professional skills, and have a close relationship with the press and media to promptly handle business crisis situations.
Stories about press relations activities, interview experience, speaking in the press, handling difficult situations, internal communications... are issues that students are interested in. That is also the reason why the Public Relations 14-01 class conducted a discussion on "Press Relations and Internal Communications in the Digital Age".
The seminar was attended by representatives of the Board of Directors; Management Board, lecturers and students of the Faculty of Communication, Dai Nam University.

At the seminar, MSc. Nguyen Thanh Huyen shared in detail lessons learned from the press relations and internal communications activities of Misa JSC. Accordingly, the speaker affirmed that the relationship between the press and businesses is a close, mutually dependent relationship; successful businesses are those that understand the press, share with the press and vice versa.
With a close exchange style and unique storytelling, the sharing of MSc. Nguyen Thanh Huyen attracted many students to participate in asking questions and interacting.
In response to the question “How to build an internal communication strategy?” , MSc. Nguyen Thanh Huyen said that first of all, we must consider the current situation and evaluate the effectiveness of the company’s current internal communication work through previous campaigns. Next, we must determine the audience and communication goals for each week, month, and year; build content, and choose communication forms.
Finally, implement the communication plan, closely follow communication activities and evaluate effectiveness, and draw lessons for future campaigns.
