Meaningful messages of love and gratitude touch hearts at the Soft Skills Training Camp of DNU students

Soft skills (Skills) is one of the strengths in the training program of Dai Nam University. This is also an attractive subject and leaves great impressions and lessons for all Dai Nam students. Accordingly, students not only learn theory in class but also participate in the Soft Skills Training Camp. With the theme "Success or failure depends on skills", this year's Soft Skills training program not only equips K16 students with teamwork skills, solidarity, perseverance, and endurance... but also brings meaningful messages about love, gratitude, and filial piety to parents and educators.
I'm sorry mom and dad...
KNM training camp is a learning model that combines military camp and summer camp with interesting and useful experiential activities, helping new students "break the rules" to "study hard, play hard". 03 experiential sessions are designed with 3 clear purposes: Morning session emphasizes knowledge; afternoon session focuses on skill development and evening session experiences emotions, changing attitudes.
The K16 "warriors" summarize and draw their own experiences after a day of rigorous training.
After a day of working at full capacity, the evening is the time for the “new recruits” to look back on their efforts. This is also a quiet time for young people to understand that they are lucky to be able to study, play, have a loving family, teachers and friends. From there, they know how to appreciate life, be grateful to their parents - those who sacrifice their whole lives, “squeeze” their lives to take care of and guide their children to become good people.
The leaders of the Soft Skills Training and Development Department shared: Family is the first cradle where children are protected, the first and last support throughout the journey. Before children come to school, come to teachers to learn professional knowledge, more than anyone else, they need to learn to be human. They must know how to thank their parents, the people who gave birth to them, gave them a body, a full life that they have...
Teachers also remind children that: “In difficult times, remember the first lullabies that your parents taught you: “Father's merit is like Thai Son mountain, Mother's love is like water flowing from the source, my child, if you want to become a good person, listen to your parents' words, wholeheartedly serve your mother and respect your father, fulfilling filial piety is your duty”. Understand and be grateful for what your parents have sacrificed and passed on to you. Only then will you become virtuous and talented people in the future…” .
“Teachers can only teach you life lessons, equip you with knowledge so you can confidently move forward; while parents are the ones who sacrifice their whole lives, follow you and support you on your journey in life.”
During the emotional experience, students watched meaningful videos about family; listened to students’ letters to their parents… Each family will have different circumstances, but the connection, love, and expectations of parents and children are the same. Parents want their children to have a full, happy, and successful life. I just hope that my parents are healthy and safe to see me grow up.
The moment the candles were lit, the whole hall burst into emotion. It was a deep longing for family, regret for having upset parents many times… Tears fell, hasty calls to family: “I’m sorry, Mom and Dad. I just want to apologize to you…”
Candles of gratitude to parents and teachers light up the DNU hall.
Cherish and love family more
Nguyen Nhat Minh – a student of class YDK 16-01 expressed: “After the evening emotional experience, I have absorbed valuable lessons about family, friends, and relatives. I am grateful and appreciate the sacrifices and great contributions that my parents have made for me. I also appreciate the sacred feelings that each student has for their parents…”
Dao Duy Manh - a student of IT class 16-04 shared: "As a boy, I rarely confide or express my feelings to my parents. However, after experiencing the emotions at the KNM Camp, I immediately called my family. I want to apologize and thank my parents - the people who always love me unconditionally."
K16 students spread the fire of love.
Pham Linh Chi – a student of QTDL class 16-01 choked up: “At that moment, I just wanted to go home immediately to hug my parents and burst into tears. I felt more respect and love for my family. I will try to study hard to succeed, to become the pride of my parents…”
A training day at KNM Camp has ended, but the emotions and memories will always remain in the hearts of each K16 student. This will certainly be a "once in a lifetime" experience for each DNU-ER.
